Window Function
1. Display all instructors with their salaries and
departments,and assign a unique sequential number to each
instructor based on ascending salary.
2. Rank instructors by salary in ascending order using a
ranking method that does not skip numbers when salaries
are equal.
3. Rank instructors by salary in ascending order, allowing
gaps in ranking when multiple instructors have the same
salary.
4. Display instructors ordered by descending salary, showing
the difference between ROW_NUMBER, DENSE_RANK,
and RANK in the same result.
5. Retrieve the third highest salary among all instructors.
6. Retrieve the third highest salary in each department.
7. Rank instructors within each department by salary in
ascending order, allowing gaps in ranking.
8. Retrieve the highest-paid instructor in each department.
9. Rank students by grade within each course, without gaps
when grades are equal.
10. Retrieve the top-scoring student(s) in each course.
