Selection (Destructive Method)
Step 1:

Open portrait image in Photoshop

Step 2:

Use Object Selection Tool


Select the subject

Step 3:

Go to
Select → Inverse

Step 4:

Press Delete

Step 5:
Insert new background layer below

🔎 Observe:

• Are hair edges perfect?


• Can deleted background be recovered?
• What happens if mistake is made?
