Task:

Students will work in small groups to create a short presentation about solving a real-life problem at
school.

Explanation:

Students will be divided into groups of four. Together, they will brainstorm the topic of their
presentation and choose one common school problem (for example, arguments for classmates, poor
time management, fear of making mistakes, lack of discipline and etc…) . After they decide on a topic,
students will discuss the problem and share the opinions. Each student will be given a role in which they
are responsible for completing a specific part of the story. One student will be the group leader and
manage the discussion. This student will also make sure everyone participates.

The second student will take down the main points and organize the ideas into simple steps. The third
student will provide with possible solutions and explain how this solution can be helpful for them. The
fourth student will prepare visual support, such as drawings, charts or short notes for the presentation.

After discussing, the group will prepare a short oral presentation (3-5 minutes). They will explain the
problem, suggest solutions and share their decisions with the class. At the end , students will listen to
other groups and give simple feedback.

Application of the 4 Cs:

 Critical Thinking:

Student analyze a real- life school problem, think about its causes, and evaluate different solutions
before choosing the best one.

 Creativity:
Students create their ideas to present. Suggest original solutions, and design visual materials for
their presentation.

 Collaboration:
Each student has their own role in the group, they must work together to add their part to the
task and they support each other, share responsibilities, listen to each other`s opinions, make
decisions as a team. Since a student is chosen as the group leader, each student is expected to
participate equally.

 Communication:
Students practice speaking through discussion and presentation. They also improve their
listening skills by listening each other and develop speaking skills by interacting and giving
feedback.
