Intro: From my perspective, I partly agree with the opinion that humankind cannot postpone the
natural progress making some species from being extinct.
Body 1: First, regarding the supporting side, considerable environmental changes can lead to the
fact that some species become extinct as they cannot adapt immediately to new surroundings.
For instance, penguins have a normal habit of living on a cold iceberg in the North pole of the
planet. However, due to the global warming effect, the habitual environment of these species
become distinctive, icebergs melt out and they lose their livings. As a result, their existence is
under threat if this issue keeps being continuous. For example, … (2) Consequently, people
cannot be involved in the process of the extinction of some species.
Body 2: Second, according to the counter-arguing side, humans can have a positive effect on
reserving some natural species. For example, pandas, which is a well-known species in China, is
under threat of becoming extinct with red classification. To prevent this from happening, people
collected them from nature and nurtured them in zoos within artificial replicas of their living
environment. As a consequence, pandas can live naturally in this environment and breed to
maintain the quantity of species on earth. The main purpose of conserving animal and plant
species is to preserve the diversity of nature in the food chain. This is mainly because if a species
disappears in the food chain, it can result in dramatic changes of other species in this chain and
lead to imbalance of nature and negative impact on other aspects in nature.
Conclusion: In conclusion, humans can also involve and not involve in conserving progress of
extinction of some species in nature.
Task 2:
Some people think governments should spend money looking for life on other planets,
while others think that it is a waste of public money when it has problems on earth. Discuss
both views and give your opinion.
Intro: It is believed by citizens that authorities should invest money in order to explore other
planets. However, a group of inhabitants have a negative opinion regarding this issue and
suggest using this amount of money to tackle pressing issues on earth. From my perspective, I
totally disagree with the latter point of view.
