The two maps illustrate the layout of an art gallery and its surroundings in
the years 2000 and 2020 after undergoing renovation.
Overall, the building experienced modernization over the period shown,
with new facilities, while internal exhibition spaces were reorganized.
However, some areas remained the same.
In terms of the original layout, a garden was at the back of the building.
There were two vacant sites, occupying the majority of the right wing,
while a cottage was at the front of the building near the main road. Inside
the building, situated on the left side of the map, a restaurant was placed
in the left corner of the building next to the exhibition room, which ran
along the rear of the gallery. In addition, a shop was positioned to the left
of the entrance, opposite two smaller exhibition rooms on the right.
Several notable changes were made in 2020. The cottage was
transformed into a cafe, whereas the two vacant sites were replaced by
car parks. In the building, the exhibition space, which was next to the
restaurant, was reduced in size while the shop was expanded.
Furthermore, two exhibition rooms adjacent to the entrance were merged
into one larger space. Meanwhile, the restaurant and the garden stayed
unchanged.
