Theme: Environmental sustainability a
responsibility for all.
Title: Making posters to combat the negative
impacts of greenhouse effects.
According to the New Vision page (5) on 17th March,
2024, it was stated that there was a lot of intense heat in
South Sudan. Most people started living indoors and others
were forced to wear very light clothes. This intense heat also
caused bush fires that destroyed a lot of vegetation, killed
animals and people. It was also stated that this heat was a
sign of global warming caused by greenhouse effect.
I also consulted Muyinda Elvis a student of S.3 North and
he remarked that the greenhouse effect is an essential
natural process that warms the earth’s surface by trapping
heat in the atmosphere. However, human activities such as
burning fossil fuels, deforestation and industrial emissions
have significantly enhanced this effect, leading to global
warming and severe environmental issues. These include
more frequent and intense heatwaves, rising sea leaves and
disruptions to echo systems and wild life.
Basing on the above problem, I came up with a project of
making posters to combat the negative impacts of
greenhouse effects raising public awareness about the
greenhouse effects and encouraging actions to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions crucial steps in mitigating climate
change. This project is a powerful tool for education, as they
motivate people to adopt more sustainable behaviours.
Aim
To design and distribute informative posters that educate
the public about the greenhouse effect and offer practical
advice for reducing its impact.
Objectives
To educate the public about the cause and consequences
of the enhance greenhouse effect.
To provide clear, actionable steps individuals can take to
reduce their carbon footprint.
To create visually engaging posters that capture attention
and promote environmental responsibility.
Justification
Many individuals lack comprehensive knowledge about
how their actions contribute to greenhouse gas emission.
By raising awareness and encouraging actionable steps,
the project seeks to contribute to a collective effort in
addressing climate change.
This project will inspire people to make positive changes
towards environmental sustain ability.
