Project tittle: Problem of speeding HIV and AIDs in my community

Stage 1 :Problem identification

HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) continue to
spread in our community due to limited awareness, stigma, poor access to health services, and risky
behaviors such as unprotected sex and sharing needles. The spread affects both individuals and families
socially, emotionally, and economically.

Statement of intent

The goal of this project is to examine the reasons behind the continued spread of HIV and AIDS in my
community, evaluate current approaches to prevention, and propose new ideas to reduce transmission
through education, support, and scientific understanding.

Design specification

I'm going to write a speech which may include the causes,effects and how to prevent the spreading of
HIV and AIDs.I'm going to create a simple and short poster.

Good morning everyone l'm Chibwe Tatenda today, I want to talk about a critical health issue that
affects millions of people worldwide: HIV and AIDS. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that
attacks the body's immune system, making it difficult to fight off infections and

diseases. If left untreated, HIV can lead to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome), which is a
condition where the immune system is severely damaged.
The causes of HIV transmission include unprotected sex, sharing needles or syringes, mother-to-child
transmission during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and blood transfusions from an infected donor.

The effects of HIV and AIDS can be devastating. People living with HIV may experience symptoms such as
fever, fatigue, and swollen lymph nodes. If left untreated, HIV can lead to opportunistic infections,
cancer, and even death.

However, there is hope. Prevention is key. We can prevent the spread of HIV by practicing safe sex,
using condoms consistently and correctly, getting tested regularly, and avoiding sharing needles or
syringes. Antiretroviral therapy (ART) can also help people living with HIV manage the virus and prevent
transmission.

Let's work together to prevent the spread of HIV and support those living with the virus. Let's promote
awareness, education, and compassion. Together, we can make a difference and create a healthier,
more supportive community for all."
