For this toy crocheting, you can use any type of yarn and a suitable crochet hook. The
thicker yarn the bigger toy you’ll get.
When using the above materials, the height of the toy will turn out to be about 22
cm.
If there are no additional instructions, we crochet the toy in a spiral row for both
loops. In some cases, you need to crochet back and forth or only for the front or
back loops (this will be indicated separately).
Use the marker, in order not to lose the beginning of the row. I use contrast yarn as
a marker. I indicate the last loop of each row with the help of this row. At the end of
each row, I move the marker thread into a loop on the hook.
A little about a floating loop. As the crocheted fabric tends to deviate to the right,
from time to time we will need to adjust the position of the beginning of the row
relative to the crocheted fabric (as a rule, move the beginning of the row to the center
of the detail). To do this, you will need to crochet one or more floating loops. A floating
loop is simply an extra sc crocheted to move the marker where we want to have it.

Arms (2 pieces)
If you can't knit the 4sc in MR at all, knit the fingers as follows:
At this stage, we cut the yarn on three fingers. Continue crocheting over the 4th
finger:
5 row: 2sc, 2sc over the 2nd finger, 4sc over the 3rd finger, 2sc over the 2nd finger,
2sc over the 1st finger (12)

+1 Fl (the marker of the beginning/end of the row should be on the side). Make the
required number of floating loops to move the marker to the desired position. Your
number of floating loops may vary slightly from mine.
In the next row, we will join the fourth (big) finger. Crocheting rows 8 and 9 for the
left and right hand will be different.
Right hand:
8 row: 3sc, 2sc capturing the loops of the arm and thumb, 7sc (12)

9 row: 2sc over the uncrocheted loops of the thumb, 10sc (12)
Cut 4 pieces of a wire 20-25 cm each. Make a loop at the end of each wire, the size
of the loop the same as the finger. Wrap the basis of the loop with double-sided tape.

Insert the wires into three fingers. Twist the ends of the wires between each other.
Stuff the hand. Insert the wire into the thumb. Twist the end of the wire with the
wires of other fingers.
+1 Fl FOR THE RIGHT HAND (the marker must be above the PINKY). Make the
required number of floating loops to move the marker to the desired position. Your
number of floating loops may vary slightly from mine.

Left leg
14 row: Dec, 1sc, Dec, 2sc on the side, Dec in the corner, [Link]., Dec in the corner,
2sc on the side (14)
Cut a piece of wire about 35 cm long, make a loop at the end. Wrap the loop with
duct tape or double-sided tape. Insert the wire into the leg. Bend the wire at an angle
of 90 degrees, as shown in the photo.
17

Stuff the leg.
Change to the red color yarn. We always change the color in the last loop of the
previous row (!). This means, when the next loop should be of different color, we
crochet the current loop on the following way:
+7 Fl (the marker should be centered in the back, above the heel). Make the
required number of floating loops to move the marker to the desired position. Your
number of floating loops may vary slightly from mine.
18

Join the red color yarn to the uncrocheted FL (front loops) of the 27th row of the
leg. And crochet around:
Mark the 18th loop of the 27th leg row with a marker (4th loop from the end).

middle of the skein) to the uncrocheted FL (front loops) of the 28th row of the leg and

With white color yarn sew a mustache under the nose and embroider eyebrows.

Sew the ears three rows above the edge of the hair attachment. The ear itself
takes 3 rows.
Select the place on your belly where you want your belly button to be. Insert the
flesh-colored yarn needle at any point on the back and withdraw at the navel. Step 1sc
aside and insert the needle and withdraw it on the back at exactly the same point where
the needle was originally inserted. Pull up the thread to form the belly button. Tie the
loose ends of the thread together and tuck the loose ends of the thread into the body.
Make the tightening at the back of the shorts, shaping the butt.
Insert the needle with red yarn in the center of the shorts in front, 3 rows down
from the beige/red border. And bring the needle out on the waistband at the back,
exactly centered on the red/beige border. Insert the needle exactly centered at the
bottom between Santa's legs and exit at the original needle insertion point at the

center of the shorts in front. Pull up the thread, making a slight butt tightening. Tie the
loose ends of the thread together and tuck the loose ends of the thread into the body.
With yellow yarn, randomly embroider "flowers" on the shorts. My flowers are
crosses using two stitches of yarn.
