Huawei Certificate System
Huawei Certification follows the "platform + ecosystem" development strategy,
which is a new collaborative architecture of ICT infrastructure based on "Cloud-Pipe-
Terminal". Huawei has set up a complete certification system consisting of three
categories: ICT infrastructure certification, Platform and Service certification and ICT
vertical certification, and grants Huawei certification the only all-range technical
certification in the industry.
Huawei offers three levels of certification: Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA),
Huawei Certified ICT Professional (HCIP), and Huawei Certified ICT Expert (HCIE).
Huawei Certified ICT Professional-Kunpeng Computing (HCIP-Kunpeng
Computing) is intended for Huawei engineers in representative offices and branch
offices, and other engineers who want to learn Huawei kunpeng computing products.
The HCIP-Kunpeng Computing certification covers the introduction, planning and
design, installation and deployment, O&M, and troubleshooting of kunpeng
computing products.
The HCIP-Kunpeng Computing certificate system introduces you to the industry
and market, helps you in innovation, and enables you to stand atop the kunpeng
computing frontiers.

Practice Guide
2.1 Course Introduction
We will perform cluster experiments based on typical live network scenarios. Based
on the common requirements, we will study the typical ones through discussion.
2.2 Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
⚫ Understand the functions and application scenarios of SmartKit and
FusionDirector.
⚫ Install and configure SmartKit and FusionDirector.
2.3 Case Background
As the business scale expands, company S has started to migrate their services to a
private cloud. S purchased new servers for the reconstructed primary data center and
requires batch OS deployment for these servers.
Engineer A of the company needs to install the OS on the servers in batches using
SmartKit and FusionDirector.

2.4 Tasks
Scenario 1: Deploy SmartKit
Background
Assume that you are engineer A. Two rack servers are used for the test, and you need
to install SmartKit on the management PC and install the OS on the two servers. How
do you plan the network topology and install SmartKit?
Analysis
What application scenarios does SmartKit apply to? In addition to the method of
using the image file, how can you install an OS for a server?
Task 1: Install SmartKit
Read the SmartKit user guide, sketch a networking diagram of SmartKit in the current
environment, plan device addresses, connect cables, and configure the network.

Host IP Address Gateway
Management PC
Managed server A
Managed server B
Task 2: Log In to SmartKit
After SmartKit is installed, the background programs in ToolStore keep running and
access the technical support website, obtaining updating information about SmartKit
and its tools and providing pop-up messages. You must have the administrator
permission to use some tools. Therefore, you are advised to run SmartKit as an OS
administrator.
Task 3: Install Subtools of SmartKit
This section describes how to install subtools of SmartKit. The installation modes
involve tool installation in scenario-based tasks and independent installation. In
independent installation mode, functions can be installed offline or online.

Scenario 2: Use SmartKit
Background
Assume that you are engineer D. Three Huawei rack servers are used for the test. You
need to install the Linux and Windows OS on the servers. How do you plan to use
SmartKit and install the OS? How do you complete the configuration?
Analysis
Which systems and server versions (V3, V5) does SmartKit support?
Task 1: Install SmartKit
Install SmartKit on the management PC and update the OS deployment function of
the corresponding server module.

Task 2: Install an OS
Install RHEL 7.x on server 1 and Windows Server 2012 on server 2.

Scenario 3: Deploy FusionDirector
Background
Assume that you are D, and the Linux OS is installed on one server successfully.
FusionDirector requires a fixed data partition to store logs, performance statistics,
and firmware packages. The data disk must be partitioned into a partition of at least
100 GB. If you were engineer D, how do you create the data partition, start the
FusionDirector microservice, and log in to FusionDirector?
Note
Currently, FusionServer uses automatic scripts to configure the network adapter IP
address and start microservices. The process is as follows:
⚫ Configure the IP address, mask, and gateway of the northbound network
adapter.
⚫ Configure the IP address, mask, and gateway of the southbound network adapter
(not required currently).
⚫ Select a data disk.
After the preceding configuration is complete, the microservice will be started.
Analysis
How to create partitions in the Linux OS?
How to deploy the microservice?
How to access FusionDirector?
Task 1: Create Data Partitions
Create data partitions for server 1 where the OS is installed.
Task 2: Execute the Data Configuration Script [Link]
Execute the data configuration script [Link].
Task 3: Wait for the Microservice to Start
Check whether all microservices are started.
Task 4: Access FusionDirector
Access FusionDirector through the web.

Scenario 4: Use FusionDirector
Background
Assume that you are E and you have logged in to FusionDirector. You need to add
devices to be managed and deploy the OS.
How do you perform the operations?
Analysis
How to add a device to FusionDirector for management?
Which systems and server versions does FusionDirector support?

The following servers support OS deployment:
FusionDirector supports batch OS installation by using the Smart Provisioning (SP)
software through the BMC out-of-band network. A maximum of 40 devices can be
deployed at the same time. Before deploying the OS, configure the RAID and set the
RAID boot disk.
The following device types are supported: CH121 V5, CH121L V5, CH221 V5, CH225
V5, CH242 V5, 1288H V5, 2288H V5, 2488 V5, 5288 V5, 5885H V5, G530 V5, and G560
