3M™ Versaflo™ S-Series
Headcovers and Hoods
Technical datasheet
Description
The 3M™ S-Series Headcovers and Hoods combine respiratory
protection with head, or head, neck and shoulder coverage.
Additionally, these headtops also provide eye and face
protection. The headtops are designed to be used with
an approved 3M air delivery unit to form a respiratory
protective device.
• S-Series headtops:
– Are approved with the 3M™ Versaflo™ TR-302E+, TR-
602E and TR-802E Powered Air Turbo Units, meeting
the TH3 performance requirements of EN 12941:1998 +
A2:20008
- Certain models (S-655, S-657, S-757 and S-855E) are
approved with 3M™ PF-602E+ Powered Air Turbo Units
- Are approved with the 3M™ Versaflo™ V-100E Cooling
Unit, V-200E Heating Unit and V-500E Regulator,
meeting the 3A performance requirements of EN
14594:2018* Applications
– Visors provide eye and face protection to EN 166 :2001 –
liquid splash and low energy impact The S-Series headtops can be used with an air-filtering unit
to form a powered air respirator system or with a regulator
– Connect via approved 3M™ Versaflo™ BT-20S/L, BT-30 and to form a supplied air respirator system. According to the
BT-40 Breathing Tubes system chosen, protection is provided against:
* Note: The maximum Compressed Air Supply Tube length allowed for 3A classified systems
is 10m. • Particles e.g. fine dusts, mists and metal fume
• Gases and vapours
• Integrated head suspension headcovers and hoods:
• Particles and gases combined
– Ready to use out of the box
– Available in two adjustable sizes S/M and M/L Typical industries include:
– Exhalation panel vents the headtop • Medical and healthcare
• Premium reusable suspension hoods: • Pharmaceutical
– Adjustable head circumference and crown size straps • Manufacturing
