DATA COLLECTION PROCESS
The collection of data will take place at Formative Academic and Skills Development
school, with 30 respondents of the selected Grade 7 students. Respondents should complete a 5-
question survey.
The following methods were used to collect data:
Phase 1. Approval of the Approval Letters and the Survey Questionnaire
The researchers can properly survey their research study after receiving a letter of
approval. Before doing the research, the researchers must focus and deal with the needed papers,
including the approval letter and survey questionnaire. Before sending the final documents
comprising the approval letter and survey questionnaire, the research advisor should first review
and approve the survey questions. Once the research adviser approves, the researchers begin
conducting the study by sending the approval letter and survey questionnaire to the Grade 7
Students.
Phase 2. Identification of the Respondents
The researchers will select the Grade 7 Students as the respondents for this study. There
will be a total of 30 respondents from Grade 7 that will answer the survey questionnaire, and 30
of which the researchers will collect data from.
Phase 3. Data Collection
In collecting the data, the researchers will collect certain information from the
respondents’ answers to have accuracy in receiving data. They will seek permission from the
respondents for them to conduct their survey for their research, the researchers will teach the
students on how to answer by going in the simplest terms instead of brainstorming heavily to
complete the survey questions. By this it also includes the researcher’s consent on doing the
survey. Researchers will then start counting, recording, and evaluating the data when the
respondents have completed the survey questionnaires.
Phase 4. Distribution Phase
The initial step will be to distribute the 30 survey questionnaires using bond paper before
the respondents respond.
Phase 5. Survey Phase
The last step for the data collection process, the respondents will be asked for permission
to survey by the researchers. After that, the researchers will submit a document containing the
approval letter, and finally, they will distribute survey questionnaires face-to-face.
