Package Sub-Station at glance
C&S series of Package substation is for voltages up to 24kV.
It is a fully equipped Package substation (PSS) that includes outdoor duty enclosure, medium voltage switchgear, distribution
transformer, low voltage panel and APFCR Panel(Optional). Only the incoming & out going cables need to be connected at site and
the site work is kept to an absolute minimum.
The PSS is completely self-contained. Factory assembled weatherproof solution ready for placing into position upon a concrete
base. PSS is provided with four lifting eyes located on the roof for easy lifting and positioning the whole unit at the site by the
use of crane.
Each substation contains three main equipment: Transformer, MV switchgear and LV switchgear each is contained in a
separate compartment. All compartments are individually accessible by their own door from outside.

Enclosure
Outdoor type enclosure having modular construction of Galvanized
Sheet Steel in corrugated type design for better heat dissipation.
The enclosure exterior shall be painted with epoxy based powder
paint ( colour RAL 7032 ) suitable for outdoor installation. Each
compartment will be provided with the door and pad locking
arrangement. Doors of transformer compartment are fitted with
Arc reflectors from the inside for providing better safety.
The Compartment illumination lamp with door operated switch
shall be provided for each compartment.
Medium Voltage Switchgear
The MV Switchgear Compartment is equipped with SF6 insulated ring
main units (RMU) type FLUOFIX GC. FLUOFIX GC is a C&S EFACEC
manufactured RMU. FLUOFIX GC is equipped with a SF6 insulated
sealed tank & equipped with Switch disconnectors (ISF G series) and
Vacuum Circuit breakers (DIVAC G Series). The F-GC ring main unit is
designed and tested for internal arc as per IEC 62271-200. The Product
Confirms to following standard IEC 62271-1, IEC 62271-100,
IEC 62271-103, IEC 62271-200
Distribution Transformer
This compartment is specially designed to provide the transformer
with sufficient volume of airflow for cooling through adequately sized
and professionally designed ventilation openings.
The compartment is provided with a pressure relief system
integrated in the ceiling / roof. As an option, a floor mesh can be
provided to prevent entry of small animals and other foreign objects,
while assuring continuous airflow and [Link]-immersed (OCTC/
OLTC) or dry type transformers can be accommodated in this compartment.

Low Voltage Switchgear
This compartment contains the Low Voltage Distribution Board (LVDB),
which is fed from the secondary side of the transformer. The LVDB can
be designed in different arrangements and configurations in order to
suit any specific application. Busbars are provided for the phases and
neutral suitable to the transformer secondary voltage and current
ratings. A ground bus linked to the neutral bus is also provided.
