Dear Madam/Sir,

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that the Department of


Computer Applications of Post Graduate Govt. College for Girls , Sector-11,
Chandigarh is organizing “TechZeal-2026”, an Inter-College IT Fest on 27th
February, 2026

The Fest aims at showcasing the talent of IT Students of various colleges


in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and other surrounding areas. The College will
be hosting Mind Explorer (IT Quiz), Pixel Stories (Movie Making), Web
Createx (Web Designing), Zero Error Zone (Debugging), D.I.Y(Model
Making), Express & Impress(JAM) ,Design Dynasty(Logo Design) &
The Hidden Algorithm (Treasure Hunt) competitions, as per list enclosed.
The registration form, copy of rules & regulations for the events and
programme schedule are enclosed herewith.

You are cordially invited for the event on 27th February, 2026. We also
request you to kindly encourage the students of your esteemed institution to
participate in the competitions.

General Rules
​ ​
The registration details are to be sent through email till 25th February
2026 at gcg11techzeal@[Link].

​ The reporting time on 27th February 2026 is 8:30 am sharp. The


confirmation of the registration will be from 8:30 am to 9:30 am sharp.
​ The participants should bring the authority letter from their institutions.
They must also carry their college ID cards along with the authority
letters, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter the college premises.
​ Entry in the college is restricted. Non participants are strictly not allowed.
​ A student can participate in a maximum of one event.
​ Only one team per event is allowed from the college.
​ Our college will not bear any conveyance or boarding and lodging expenses
of the participants.
​ The rules can be changed on the spot at the discretion of judges and college
authorities.
​ Judges' verdict will be final and non-challengeable.
​ Prize distribution function will be held at the end of the fest. The
participants are required to stay till the end of the fest to collect prizes.
​ No student will send direct registrations to us. Registrations should be
sent through proper channel i.e. college and department only.
​ Registrations should be sent from the Department of Computer
Applications only.
​ Colleges must send the registration list duly signed by the HOD of all the
participants on gcg11techzeal@[Link] by 25th February 2026.
PIXEL STORIES (Movie-Making)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

➢​ One team of two participants can participate from each college.


➢​ Participants have to present short, powerful video clips 3–5 minutes such as
documentary, short film.
➢​ Only original content will be screened. No AI generated videos will be accepted.
➢​ Participants can choose the theme for the video from the list below:
1. Women in Tech
2. Impact of Social Media on Society
3. Future of Robotics & Automation
➢​ Students who will register for the event must submit compiled video in the format
given i.e. AVI, mp4 only in Lab-1, Ground Floor BCA Department by 9:30am on
the day of IT fest.
➢​ Students can use any software to develop a Video.
➢​ The video having abusive/vulgar or unwanted theme, dialogue reference to any
political
party/personality and songs will be disqualified.

​ 1:30 hours will be given to the participants.
​ Notepad++ will be given as a platform to design and develop webpage in
HTML ,CSS & Java Script.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

​ One team of two participants can participate from each college.


​ The teams will have to play the game at each level in minimum time to qualify
for the next level.
​ After completion of a level, teams will be given clues to crack and move to the
next level.
​ After each level, the team who comes last will be eliminated.
​ The team which will unearth the hidden treasure after completing all the levels
will be the winning team.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

​ One team of two participants can participate from each college.


​ There will be two rounds: Preliminary & Final round.
​ Preliminary round will be written objective type question/answers related to
computer/IT Topics.
​ Final round will consists of 4 levels.
✔​ First Level (Brain Bamboozler): Each team will be given 30 seconds to
answer the question.*
✔​ Second Level (Picture Dazing): Picture based questions will be asked from
the participants and it will be a buzzer round.*
✔​ Third Level (Rapid Fire Round): Each team will be asked a set of questions
in 1 minute. *
✔​ Fourth Level (Point booster): Each team will be asked a subject based
question.*
​ *10 points will be allotted for each correct answer and -5 points for each
wrong answer.
D.I.Y. (Model Making)

​ “This event will help you to display the creativity in you. You will have to make
models from the IT/Computers waste.”

RULES AND REGULATIONS


➢​ A team of 2 participants can participate from each college.
➢​ Contestants should bring Computer Based working Model. This Model should be more
than just "code on a screen." They need to be interactive, visually engaging, and
demonstrate a clear real-world utility.
➢​ The model will be judged on various parameters such as Innovation, originality, technical
complexity, execution and Presentation.
➢​ 30 Minutes will be provided to setup the model and only space will be provided to
showcase the model.
EXPRESS & IMPRESS (Jam)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

➢​ 1 student can participate from each college


➢​ Each participant must speak continuously for 1 minute (60 seconds) on a given
topic. 1 mint will be given to the participant to think .
➢​ The timer starts the moment the speaker begins.
➢​ Topics will be given on the spot.
➢​ No prior preparation time (or you can allow 10–15 seconds if you want it
beginner-friendly).
DESIGN DYNASTY (Logo Design)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

➢​ Only one team of 2 participants from each college is allowed.


➢​ Participants must create a logo design for the fictional company using pen
& paper. The design must be original and relevant to the company's theme.
➢​ Participants should bring their own necessary material(Pen, marker, color).
The drawing paper will be provided by the college itself.
➢​ Complete design must be submitted within the time limit provided. Half
design will not be considered.
➢​ Maximum allocation is 1 hour
➢​ Use of mobile phone or any other electronic gadget is strictly
Prohibited.
Designs will be evaluated on the basis of creativity, relevance, visual appeal
& effectiveness of tagline.

Theme will be announced on the spot.
