[Link] a manager you know personally or have worked withand discuss
how they perform the three managerial roles( interpersonal, informational,
and decisional).

I choose my father, who manages his own business in the UAE and
[Link], He builds strong connections with diverse groups of client, while
also taking feedbacks regarding different aespects of his business example
accommodation aswell as motivating his employees through financial incentives, job
enrichment and opportunities.
Informationally, my dad keeps himself updated on market trends in both countries and
depending on that he restocks and sells products that are in demand to ensure efficiency
and profit as these information will allow him to make accurate decisions.
My dad decisionally makes major choices such as selecting suppliers for his business in
both Japan and Uae , handling employees and deciding on investments in different
departments to grow the business.

(planning, organizing, leading, and controlling).

Noon local ecommerce business

For planning, Noon sets goals like expanding its online marketplace from selling
grocery, fastfood, appliances, cleaning services and also fast delivery option within 15 mins.
Also improving customer experience regularly through feedback.

They organise by dividing work among departments such as logistics, marketing, IT, and
customer service. Noon also uses warehouses in many locations and huge numbers of
delivery fleets to make sure products reach each customer on time to ensure efficiency.

Noon leads by managers who motivate employees by encouraging innovation and

teamwork to create even better features and services that will increase sales abd revenue
improving overall profitability of the business. One of noons main focus is customer
satisfaction and adapt to the fast-moving e-commerce industry with rivals like talabat ,
deliveroo.
The controlling aespect of the company is that it monitors performance by tracking delivery
times, customer feedback, and sales data. If problems occur, such as late deliveries, they
take action to improve services and also either refund or do cashback for the customer that
faced inconvenience this as result will improve customer satisfaction and help noon
reduce any negative impact on the business.

[Link] a situation where you managed a team or [Link] did you use your
managerial skills to achieve success?

In high school I took part in business day with my friends to set up a stall and sell goods to
the school members. I managed my friends to get their task on time and helped them with
how to get the tasks done on stall decorations, get appliances like air fryer, microwave etc. I
divided the tasks among us equally so none of us are overworked for example one of us
handled digital marketing using social media, another handled pre orders and I was
responsible to order all products before time to ensure all customers are given what we
advertised. I used my managing skills to be the one making decisions so to avoid any delay
in decision making regarding any situation because if all of us had a say it would take ages
before moving on. However, I did listen to any feedback given by teammates and fixed
anything accordingly to ensure all of us are satisfied.

[Link] is the difference between efficiency and effectiveness? Provide examples from
your daily life or the workplace.

Efficiency basically means doing the work in the best and fastest way possible and using less
time and reducing any wastage of resources as well as using less man power.
Effectiveness means finishing the work and reaching the goal doesn’t matter if it took more time
or effort just reaching the end means effectiveness.

An example from my daily life could be when I was preparing for my Alevel exams, I regularly
studied and used notes to revise crucial points and important keywords I need to remmber for the
exam, this is efficiency. But covering all the specifications and understand all types of questions
that can come in exams and getting a high grade means effectiveness because here result matters
not the method.

[Link] do technical, human, and conceptual skills affect a manager’s performance in the
workplace? Provide examples from your experiences.

For managers technically skills are imporant especially for specific job-related tasks. For
example, a manager in an IT department in the University of Sharjah may need to know how
certain software like the admission application and help guide their team properly.

Human skills is basically working with people, motivating employees, and handling customers
who have questions or any complaints. In group assignments, I often encourage my
classmates, make sure everyone’s ideas are heard and implemented , and solve small
disagreements to be efficient so the project goes smoothly with no dissatisfaction between
memebers.

Conceptual skills help managers to see the bigger picture so they can understand how different
parts of the business overlap so they can plan long-term strategies that will benefit the business.
For example, during a business studies presentation, I connected all the points together
and presented a clear idea so our teacher could see the overall strategy.
