Number Patterns- a set of numbers

arranged in a certain order. Each
number in the number pattern is
called the term.

Increasing number patterns-

Patterns whose numbers are getting
bigger.

Decreasing number patterns-

Patterns whose numbers are getting
smaller.

Example: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 TERMS

Now, let's determine the missing term

in this number pattern. For example,
what is the missing term in this
number pattern?

We have here the 4 steps to find the

missing terms.

Step 1: Find the rule behind the

sequence.
Step 2: Determine if the arrangement
of number is descending or ascending.
Step 3: Determine the difference
between two present terms in the
number sequence.
Step 4: Complete the sequence by
applying the rule of the number
sequence.

The importance number pattern:

Remember that number patterns make
our world much easier to understand.
You use them every day without even
thinking about It, like when you count
steps, follow a cooking recipe, or set
an alarm. They help you plan your
day and guess what will happen next,
 like knowing when the next bus is
coming. Even saving money or
following a workout depends on these
simple sequences.
