Phase 1: Analysis of Existing Websites (2 Weeks – 5 Marks)
Conduct a detailed analysis of at least three (3) existing websites within the chosen
organization, industry, or problem domain. The analysis should focus on:
Purpose and target audience of each website
Website structure and navigation
Visual design elements (layout, color schemes, typography, responsiveness)
Content organization and clarity
Strengths and weaknesses of each website
Identified gaps or areas for improvement
The findings should inform the design decisions for the proposed website.
Phase 2: Website Design / Prototype (2 Weeks – 5 Marks)
Based on the analysis, develop a website design or prototype that clearly demonstrates the
intended structure and appearance of the website. This may be presented using:
Wireframes or mock-ups (hand-drawn or digital), or
Design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
The design should include:
Site map and page layout
Navigation structure
Proposed color scheme and typography
Description of key pages and their content
Phase 3: Website Implementation (4 Weeks – 10 Marks)
Implement the approved design as a fully functional static website using HTML and CSS, and
any selected front-end framework. The implemented website should:
Accurately reflect the proposed design
Be responsive across different screen sizes
Demonstrate clean and well-structured code
Include all key pages and content as outlined in the prototype
Students should ensure proper use of web development best practices.
