Anthropology
Promote a holistic study of humans. Derived from the greek word
anthropos mean “ Man” and logos means "science" or "study".

Antropology can be defined as “the study of people their origins, their development,
and contemporary varations, and wherever they have been found on the face earth”
(Ember, Ember, and Peregrine, 2010).

Anthropology is that the branch of data which deals with scientefic study of man, his
workss, his body, his behavior, amd values, in time and space (Palispis, 2007 p. ). Also it life.
Subdisciplines of Anthropology
Arccheology examines the remains of ancient and
historical populations to market an understanding of how
humans adapted to their environtmentt and developed.

Cultural Anthropology deals with the study of a societys culture


through their belief systems, practices and possessions.

Linguistic Anthropology examines languange of group of


people and its relation to their culture.
ANTHROPOLOGY AS
SCIENCE
The proper sphere of anthropology as science is strive to secure
historical, sociological and psychological laws that describe the overall
trends of process among the people of all prehistoric periods

Another branch of social science is Sociology the study of ‘’scientific


study of society” that study of society, social institutions, and
relationships.

behavior, especially because it occurs within a social context

because the ultimate authority. it is the first role of the govt to rule
the society by stipulating and transmitting the essential laws
