1. Check the medication order against the original Dr‘s order.
2. Perform hand hygiene
3. Prepare the medication following the Five rights of medication administration:
①Right drug
②Right dose
③Right route
④Right time
⑤Right client

4. Assembles the equipment.


5. Explain the procedure to the client.
6. Assist to the client to a make comfortable position in sitting or semi-Fowler position.
7. Setting the nebulizer:
1)Plug the cord into an electrical outlet
2)Fill the nebulizer cup with the ordered amount
of medication
3)Turn on the nebulizer at the prescribed time
8. Give specific Instructions to the client during nebulization.
9. Turn off the nebulizer and take off the cord from the electrical outlet.
10. Instruct the client to gargle

12. Perform hand hygiene.
13. Document the date, time and dose of medication and response.
14. Report any findings to the Senior staff.
15. Maintains body mechanics throughout the performance of the procedure
16. Manifest neatness in the performed procedure.
17. Receptive to critism.

19. Uses correct English.
20. Shows mastery of the procedure.
21. Gives appropriate answers to questions
22. States rationale foe each action.
