DESIGN EXPERIMENTS

Procedures

1. Fabrication of moulds and pattern, a pattern for tensile(Q25 X 200mm), a pattern for
hardness(100 x 100 x 20), a pattern for chemical composition(Q25 X 20MM).then
Mould preparation.
2. Melting the following charge

3. Pouring of molten metal, solidification hours 24 hours


4. Cast removal from sandbox using mould shaker machine
5. Cast specimen grinding to remove runners feeders and sprue using grinding machine,
ten casting specimen will be shot blasted and fettled to clean casting using shot blast
6. Chemical composition analysid
7. Mechanical properties analysis
8. Metallugraphic Analysis
