Guidelines for Dissertation

MCOM IV SEMESTER
[Link] of Topic

Each student must select a live business problem or research topic from a business
organization, institution, or industry.

[Link] of Work

• The topic should be framed as a research problem or consultancy problem.


• The student must prepare a dissertation report based on the study.

• The project must be completed under the supervision of a faculty guide during the IV
Semester.
• A faculty member will provide 4 hours of guidance per week in the semester.
• Guiding 8 students is equal to teaching one paper per semester for a faculty member.

• The Dissertation Report carries 70 marks.


• A Viva-Voce Examination will be conducted by the Board of Examiners (BOE) for 30
marks.

• The Research Supervisor must have:


• A Ph.D. Degree, OR
• A minimum of 10 years of research experience
• At least 10 publications in UGC-recognized journals.

Presentation of Dissertation Report (Guidelines for Students )


Internship report. Failing to follow the instructions will result in re-doing the
Dissertation report.
1. Font Style: Times New Roman
2. Font Size: a) For headings – 14 b) For Others – 12
3. Line & Paragraph Spacing: 1.5
4. Justification: Centre & Justified
5. Page Border: Standard Page Border (including the Cover page and Certificates)
6. Cover Page: College should attached a specimen copy
7. No of Pages: Minimum 70 to 90 pages
8. Duration: 4-6 weeks (min 90 hours)
