Modifying tables
• Two possible ways:
In separate window
– Right click on the table, edit content, in separate window
In viewer
– double-click that table.
– This will outline dashed lines, indicating that it is ready to
be edited. Or
– Right click on the table, edit content, in separate window
Modifying tables
• There are several ways in which you can modify tables.
• In this section, we will discuss how you can:
alter text,
• Inserting: Title, caption, footnotes
• Changing: fonts
modify a table's appearance
• Delete column, create graph
Modifying graphs
• Includes:
• Changing the appearance
• Changing type of chart/graph
• Double click on the graph/chart displays chart editor
Modifying graphs
• Focus on three out of many useful features:
changing the type of chart,
• if you want to compare how your data would look when
displayed in other form
modifying text in the chart, and
• including the titles, footnotes, and annotations ….
modifying the graphs.
• Transposing
• Hide/show legend
• Rescale ….
Exporting results
Export information in tables and/or graphs/charts to other
applications (like word, …).
Exporting could be the whole output or selected output only.
Options for exporting tables/graphs/charts are:
Copy and paste,
we can copies the text and preserves tables/graphs/charts, but
does not copy formatting.
Export
We can immediately create an HTML file that can be
viewed in a Web browser.
Report writing of the analysis results
• Retrieving relevant information from the analysis results
• Reports may Include:
– Tables, graphs, rephrased figures.
• Example The average income of participants was $34,419.57 years
(SD = $17,075.661).
The income was non-normally distributed, with skewness of 2.125
(SE = 0.112) and kurtosis of 5.378 (SE = 0.224)
