Task: Research Capstone Individual Narrative


Overview:

The individual student narrative for the 10-day research revisions and prototype activity serves as
a comprehensive record of the student’s research journey, documenting their progress,
challenges, and insights gained throughout the process.

Instructions:

Goal:
To create a comprehensive and reflective narrative documenting the student's research revision
and prototype project, demonstrating their understanding, processes, and outcomes over a 10-
day period.

Role:
The student is a researcher and storyteller, responsible for not only conducting the research but
also for articulating their journey, findings, and personal growth through a well-crafted narrative.

Audience:
The primary audience includes the student's Work Immersion Teacher.

Situation:
The student has completed a 10-day research capstone project, during which they explored a
specific topic in depth. This narrative serves as a summative reflection and presentation of their
work, insights, and experiences throughout the research process.

Product/Performance:
The final product is a detailed narrative that spans the 10 days of research. The narrative should
include daily entries with reflections, challenges faced, solutions found, key learnings, and visual
documentation (such as photos, charts, or graphs). The narrative should be formatted in Arial 12
font, printed on long bond paper, and presented in an orange transparent folder with a slider.

RUBRIC STANDARD (Attached)


1. Content Quality- This criterion assesses the accuracy, relevance, and depth of the content
presented in the narrative.
2. Clarity and Coherence- This criterion evaluates how clearly and logically the narrative is
written.
3. Detail and Depth- This criterion looks at the richness of detail and the depth of explanation
provided in the narrative.
4. Use of Visuals- This criterion assesses how effectively visuals are used to enhance the
narrative.
5. Grammar and Mechanics- This criterion evaluates the correctness of the narrative in terms
of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Deadline:

The day the students will return to School after the Work Immersion Period.
