An Overview of the Internship Company

1. The 3-CETT Report

1.1 The Company


The internship at Finamics Capital was an opportunity to experience the real-
world application of financial planning and wealth management concepts. As
part of the program, I was assigned the role of Financial Planning & Client
Engagement Intern. The financial services industry today is rapidly evolving,
with clients expecting not only returns but also personalized financial advice
that ensures long-term wealth creation and risk management.

This internship allowed me to gain exposure to the day-to-day functioning of a


financial planning firm, understand the process of engaging with clients, and
learn how financial products are analysed and recommended. It bridged the
gap between theoretical learning in classrooms and practical implementation
in a professional environment.

Finamics Capital helps people achieve their Financial goals


through there continue Guidance and Handholding also helps
people achieve the financial freedom one aspires for. They also
maintain outmost transparency throughout their financial
journey and helps people understand the need of investment
and savings.

1.2 The Customers


Finamics Capital’s customers include students, job seekers,
businesspersons, homemakers—anyone aiming to learn and profit
from the stock market. The classes cover IPOs, financial instruments,
mutual funds, technical and fundamental analysis, commodities, etc.,
indicating varied customer segmentation from novices to aspiring
traders. Product positioning focuses on brevity, practicality, and
accessibility including short-duration, low-cost, weekend options.

1.3 The Competition


In financial education, Finamics likely competes with local training
institutes, online stock market educators, and financial services
providers. The firm also operates in a competitive financial services
market, with competition from banks (ICICI Wealth, HDFC
Securities), brokerage houses (Zerodha, Angel One), and independent
financial planners. Differentiation lies in personalized advisory and
client engagement.
1.4 The Environment:
Based in Nagpur and Pune. It operates in education and financial
services sectors. Influenced by regulatory certifications like NISM &
NCFM. Economic interest in financial literacy, stock market
participation, and investment potential contribute to favourable
demand.

1.5 The Technology


Finamics Capital leverages financial planning software, portfolio
management tools, and CRM systems to streamline client servicing,
risk assessment, and investment tracking.

1.6 Terminology
Common industry-specific terms include IPO, FPO, share capital,
promoters’ holdings, NSDL/CDSL, FIIs/DIIs, mutual funds, NAV,
SIP/STP/SWP, technical analysis tools (candlestick patterns, RSI,
Fibonacci). These are some familiar terms for interns.
2. Strategic Analysis
2.1 SWOT Analysis

operations.

• Financial Ratios: Not publicly disclosed (private firm), but focuses


on sustainable operations.

• Performance Metrics: Client satisfaction, AUM growth, retention


rates.

• Milestones: Established as a trusted financial advisory in Nagpur,


growing client base steadily.

• Strategies for Growth: Digital expansion, personalized advisory, and


financial literacy workshops.
4. Business Objectives and Achievements
4.1 Objective: The main objectives of the internship were:
1. To understand the financial planning process – including risk
profiling, asset allocation, and goal-based planning.

2. To learn portfolio evaluation and analysis by studying client


portfolios and suggesting improvements.

3. To gain experience in client engagement – observing and assisting


in client interactions, meetings, and follow-ups.

4. To develop analytical and research skills through study of equities,


mutual funds, and insurance products.

5. To enhance soft skills such as communication, presentation,


teamwork, and adaptability in a professional setting.

4.2 Tasks: As a Financial Planning and Client Engagement Intern, I


was given tasks that provided both learning and contribution to the
organization:

• Client Data Collection: Compiling financial details such as income,


expenses, assets, liabilities, and insurance coverage.

• Portfolio Review & Preparation: Assisting in reviewing existing


portfolios of clients and preparing basic reports under the guidance of
the supervisor.

• Product Research: Studying equity markets, mutual funds, and


insurance products using tools such as [Link], TradingView, and
the NSE website.

• Client Engagement Support: Preparing PowerPoint presentations


and assisting in client meetings with relevant information and
documentation.
• Team Collaboration: Working with other interns and senior staff in
discussions on financial planning strategies.

• Documentation & Reporting: Drafting reports, maintaining client


files, and ensuring accuracy of data entered.

4.3 Strategy Adopted: Learning under mentorship, applying


theoretical knowledge to real-world cases, and engaging in client
interaction.

4.4 Mid-course Correction: Adjusted July report deadline to the


28th due to data complexity.

4.5 Limitation: Initial software unfamiliarity and data delays were


hurdles, resolved with supervisor help.

4.6 Data Collection & Analysis: Analysed company financial


data using Excel for ratios and trends.

4.7 Recommendations: Suggest initial software training and


timely data access.

4.8 Learning: Learned financial analysis, budgeting, and


compliance skills. The internship significantly enhanced my skills and
knowledge in the following areas:

• Technical Knowledge: Learned the practical aspects of financial


planning, portfolio management, and risk profiling. Exposure to tools
like TradingView and [Link] helped in understanding real-time
market analysis.

• Analytical Skills: Gained experience in interpreting financial


statements, comparing investment options, and understanding how to
align investments with client goals.

• Client Engagement: Understood how to prepare for client meetings,


communicate financial ideas clearly, and handle questions with
professionalism.
• Soft Skills: Improved in teamwork, adaptability, time management,
and maintaining ethical standards while handling client information.

• Industry Exposure: Realized the importance of compliance,


transparency, and trust in financial advisory services.

4.9 Awards/rewards: Received a completion certificate.


4.10 Conclusion: The internship experience at Finamics Capital
was extremely valuable and rewarding. It not only enhanced my
academic knowledge but also gave me the opportunity to apply
concepts of financial planning in real-world situations.

I gained confidence in handling financial data, analysing portfolios,


and understanding client psychology. Most importantly, I learned the
importance of ethical conduct, client trust, and professionalism in the
financial services industry.

This internship has strengthened my aspiration to build a career in


financial planning and wealth management. The lessons learned here
will guide me in both my future academic journey and
professional life.
