Global warming has become one of the serious problems the world has
faced due to human activities on earth. If we do not take actions to
reduce the risks now, the impacts of global warming on us will become
more and more severe. The essay will discuss the problem of global
warming, its causes and suggest some solutions for it.
Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of the earth due
to the increase of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, carbon
monoxide, methane and others in the atmosphere. The first cause of
global warming is burning fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal. This
action leads to the increasing amount of carbon dioxide and hence
rising in global temperature. Population growth is another main cause
of global warming. Increasing human population on the earth increases
the need for living land and destruction of the forests. Due to the use of
fossil fuels by the human beings in the transport vehicles, carbon
emission gets collected in the atmosphere, which results in increasing
atmospheric temperature and causing global warming.
Global warming is calling natural disasters to occur more often, many
times a year. Increasing heat and temperature regularly is threatening
human health and safety because it is creating the fear of drought,
flood. In many parts of the world, humans have to experience severe
water and food because of the loss of crops. In addition, people are now
more likely to suffer from heat-related illnesses and death, and spread
of infectious diseases. Not only human beings but animals will also be
affected by global warming. There will not be enough home and food
for them to live and feed.
Global warming has serious effects on the environment so the
governments and individuals should stand up to prevent and put an end
to this problem. One possible solution is that the households should
switch to renewable sources of energy such as solar power and
hydropower. Also, people should reduce waste by buying reusable
products or recycling the old items at your house. Another way forward
could be to organise campaigns to encourage citizens to use public
transport or carpools.
In conclusion, global warming is threatening human beings and
millions of species on Earth. The Earth is the common home for all of
us and because of this great attention should be paid to environmental
problems. Taking small but effective actions such as reducing energy
use, saving natural resources, planting trees or using green means of
transportation can make the Earth a better place to live.
