Determine drain to source voltage of a MOSFET common source circuit using
voltage divider bias and source is directly grounded. Given that VDD=10V,
R1=10MΩ, R2=10MΩ, RD=2KΩ, Vt= 2V, and ID= 2 mA. State which region, the
MOSFET is working in the circuit with supportive computations.(7)
Determine gm for enhancement type MOSFET if VGS(th)=3V and it is biased at
VGSQ=8V. Assume k=0.3x10-3 mA/ V2
An N-channel E-MOSFET used in a potential divider bias CS amplifier has ID(ON)=
4mA at VGS(ON)= 8V, VGST = 4V, gm= 2 mS. Calculate values of (i) VGS, (ii) VDS, (iii)
ID and (iv) output Voltage, if R1=60kΩ, R2 = 40kΩ, RD = 6kΩ, VDD = 15V and the ac input signal =
