“A goal without a plan is just a dream” – Brian Tracy. Living in this world is a pleasure
for us. We are all lucky to have the opportunity to witness the beauty of this world. In our
journey, we have to create a plan and prepare ourselves on what are the surprises of life. It’s not
always about happiness, there is also sadness that will make our journey difficult but it will make
us stronger and braver throughout. The set of goals will be our map for us to reach our
destination. We all have our roadmaps to follow toward success so, here’s mine.

Growing up I’ve learned to always consider people’s judgement. I was molded to fit into
the standard of society but when I step into college, everything is slowly changing. People’s
judgement will not make you better, but you have to reflect; the standard of society will not even
build you, but you’ll learn what are things to do and not. Everything about you doesn’t need to
consider other people always. The thing that makes you feel at peace and happy will matter
always. As a college student, I’ve learned to depend on my capability. I’ve learned to believe in
myself because no one will. I also learned that having friends in college will help you to enjoy
college life. I know that I am still far from my destination but I had traveled too far from being
nothing. As a teenage mom, I can say that it is hard but looking at my angel means there’s no
room for giving up. Sleepless nights, skipped meals, spending my time facing gadgets and papers
doing our lesson plan and instructional materials, these things are just 25% of how’s a teacher’s
life is.

Based on my experience on the demonstration-teaching conducted by our subject teacher


Ma’am Roselle M. Beltran, in the subject Teaching Approaches in Secondary Social Studies. I
am thankful to my partner because I know that she has a passion for teaching so am I. We
encounter problems, especially in our schedule but we’ve solved them. We have to use our spare
time to prepare instead of going out. We learned to budget our money for the materials that we
need. Despite the struggles we’ve faced, I am still thankful and blessed that we made it. We both
have problems boosting our self-esteem but we did it. It is not perfect but as ma’am, Roselle
said, “There’s always next time for improvement.” I know for sure that even for the short time,
we’ve learned a lot from ma’am Roselle that will contribute to our improvements in the future.

To ma’am Roselle, thank you ma’am for the endless motivation and words of gratitude.
Thank you despite your hectic schedule I can say that teaching is your first love. Your passion
for teaching will serve as our inspiration throughout our journey. There’s no easy way but we’ll
take the way no matter what happens for our future and dreams. I also thank God for his endless
guidance and love that makes me strong when I am at my weakest times. I believe that all of
these hardships will be paid off and worth it. God bless us all!
