Sir,
Most reverentially it is submitted that I have
passed my Matriculation Examination by
securing very good marks. I have applied for
admission to First Year Pre-medical class in
your venerable college. The merit list has
been displayed on the notice board. I stand
third according to the merit list. We have
been directed to deposit the college
dues by the 10th of this month. The amount
of admission fee is Rs.7000/- which I find
difficult to arrange.
I belong to a very poor family. My father is a
retired government servant. His pension is
only sixteen thousand a month. He has to
support a large family comprising 7 members.
He is ill and cannot work for extra earning. He
has no other source of income to meet the
expenses of my brother, sister and myself
who are all studying. Sir, being hard up is a
very painful and unpleasant situation. The
pangs of penury we are suffering from are
hard to explain for me.
I am very much desirous of continuing my
studies. I am determined to work very hard to
reach the pinnacle of success. It is possible
only if you grant me full fee concession so
that I may be able to materialize my dream of
becoming a doctor. Without this help from
you, I will be
compelled to discontinue my studies and it will
be great set-back to me and my family also.
l, therefore, request you to consider my
application compassionately and grant me
full fee concession. I shall be very grateful to
you for this act of sympathy and kindness.

With great veneration I beg leave to submit

that I have been a bona-fide student of your
prestigious institution of F. Sc. (Pre-medical)
under roll number 19 during the academic
session 2016-2018. I have also joined the
college hostel and occupied the dormitory
number 5. During my
stay in the hostel, I have been regularly
paying off my mess charges well in time.

I have been a studious student, so I often

visited my college library to consult some
reference books. I also got issued some
interesting novels and books on different
subjects.

Now I very respectfully submit that I have

completed my education in the college
successfully. My annual examination is over. I
want to go back to my home. Sir, I have paid
all my hostel and library dues. I do not have
to pay any person any money or return any
loan or article of use, I have attached the NOC
(No objection certificate) duly signed by the
Hostel Superintendent and Warden and the
college librarian,
It will be very kind of you if you allow me
refund of the hostel and library security.
Kindly also order the college staff not to delay
the payment of the security amounts to me, I
will be greatly obliged to you for this benign

Most reverentially I submit the following facts
for your kind consideration and sympathetic
action regarding my absence from the
college.

Sir, I am a student of F.A Part-I at your

prestigious institution. My name .has been
struck off the college roll due to my absence
from the college for ten days. Last Week-end
I went to my native village to attend the
marriage ceremony of my cousin who is an
army officer. I forgot to
apply for leave. In fact, I intended to come
back after three days but I could not do so. As
one of my friends insisted that I should stay
longer with him.

Again I was about to leave for my college

after the absence of four days, when my
mother fell seriously ill. She had an attack of
cholera that caused diarrhea and vomiting.
My father was not at home because he was on
his official visit to some other city. I had to
take my mother to the hospital with the help
of my neighbours. My father asked me
telephonically to send an application for leave
to college if possible. But I had to look after
my mother day and night and also had to
attend to children at home. No doubt, my
aunt helped me in running the house. But I
also had to bring articles of daily use from the
market. Then my father returned home after a
week.

Sir, what cannot be cured must be endured. I

do not have any genuine excuse for the long
absence but the sudden illness of my mother.
I am extremely sorry for what I have done. I
have been a punctual student and this is first
ever offence I have committed. I request you
very humbly to forgive me and grant me
readmission. I assure you that I will behave in
a very responsible way in future.

on compassionate grounds.

Subject: Remission of fine

Sir,
With great veneration, I beg leave to state
that I have been fined five hundred rupees
by my teacher on account of my consecutive
absence from the class for two weeks during
the last month. It is true that I have been
absent from the class for the said period but
it was beyond my control to apprise the
college of my sudden
illness through an application for leave. I live
in the college hostel. My village is at least at
the distance of 95 kilometres from my
college. It is a backward area where there is
no post office and no other means of
communication.

It happened so, as soon as I reached my

village in the evening of Saturday, I felt a
headache and after some time I felt nausea
(GPC.) and vomiting started. I ran a high
fever, The village dispenser prescribed some
medicines which I started taking regularly
according to his advice. Unfortunately, the
disease lingered on and I was admitted to a
hospital for treatment. However, after a few
days, I started feeling better, When I reached
the college, the office clerk told me to deposit
the fine prior to attending my class
Sir, I am a son of a very poor father who
earns hardly 15 thousand rupees a month and
he hardly affords my hostel and other
educational expenses. It is my fault that could
not intimate the college about my illness as
there was no person who could take my
application to the college, l, therefore,
request you to remit my fine and allow me to
attend my classes. I shall be careful in future.
I enclose a certificate from the doctor
regarding my illness in favour of my
contention. I will be greatly thankful to you for
this kind act.
