Distribution refers to the process when media products get to the target audience.

The Frontline group is the UK’s leading retail group
that started in 1986 and sold magazines to shops.
Frontline began in 1986 as part of an EMAP which
is a massive UK publishing company. They work
with publishers such as Bauer to distribute
magazines like Grazia and Heat.. Over the years the company has continued to
expand bringing major publishers such as Bauer Media DC Thompson and more.
They are now the biggest magazine distributors selling magazines to loads of shops
around the UK.

Getting the magazine

Retail:
The method of distribution is when products are
delivered from a central warehouse to a local and
normally smaller ones that are closer to the
customers. This magazine can be purchased at
petrol stations or your local shop such as Tescos
or Asda. This is beneficial for the target audience as it's
more convenient and bc the reader can buy and read
the magazine without having to get a subscription
which will save them money. You can buy this
magazine for £2.75 at a newsagent.

Subscription:
Subscription services use direct distribution channels,
meaning that the company delivers products or
services straight to the subscriber. This can be
bought on Grazia's website. Subscriptions are
beneficial as they save money, it is also convenient
as it means people don't have to travel or go out to
buy new magazines when they come out and get
delivered to shops but instead they can have them
delivered to their home. For Grazia a subscription
costs £84 pounds a year, £22 every 3 months or 12
issues for £19.99 then £44.99 every 6 ,months by recurring payment, these deals
might draw the audiences attention as they are getting a deal for the magazines.

A digital download is a certain
type of distribution where the
audience can quickly access
the magazine online in an
electronic format. This can be
purchased on the official
website, this option is good as
you can access it anywhere
whether it's on your phone,
your laptop or your ipad
making it easier for people. It's
also eco-friendly as it's online
and you can't throw it away. This subscription will cost £64.99 a year.
