RULES
“ALL PLAYERS HAVE TO PLAY WITH FAIR & HONEST POLICY”
Except For The Players Of The Bowling Team and Striker & Non-Striker of the
batting team, no other player is allowed inside the Turf. Others can cheer from
outside (ONLY CHEERING NO BULLYING).
Basic Cricket Rules
• Match will be played between Two Sponsored Teams.
• Each League match innings will be of 5 Overs Each
• The Tournament is an “UNDERARM TOURNAMENT,” and it will be played with
Light cricket tennis ball.
• STRICTLY TIME WILL BE FOLLOWED, if the player at the time of match is not
available, Match will continue and the team has to play with ONE-PLAYER
SHORT for entire inning and will not be entertained in the middle of the
inning.
• WINNING TEAM will be awarded TWO POINTS for each game won in LEAGUE.
• UMPIRE DECISION will be the FINAL DECISION. ARGUING WITH UMPIRE
WILL LEAD TO DEDUCTION IN 5 RUNS FROM THE TOTAL SCORE WHENEVER
UMPIRE SAYS.
• Only 8 Players can play at a time in a match.
• Every bowler would be bowling only 1 over in 1 inning.
• While bowling, the Bowler neither can rotate his hand in 360 degree nor bowl
from above the waist height (If bowler is found to be bowling either of the
way as mentioned above by the umpire. Umpire would be authorized to give
it a NO BALL).
• Round-arm action and Side-arm action (Feki ball) will not be allowed. Front
Line and Side Line Cut would be NO BALL.
• Bowling side needs to be called/informed to the umpire when changed
(Money call included)by the bowler, else umpire can declare it as NO BALL.
• Fast Bowling NOT Allowed.
• A Bowler has to bowl from INSIDE THE MARKED BOX only. (Attached Image
below for reference). While releasing the ball, if the foot of a Bowler touches
the box at any side, it will be declared as a No Ball.
• While releasing the ball, if the foot / any body part of the Bowler touches the
stump, it will be declared as a NO BALL.
• MANKADING ALLOWED (WITHOUT WARNINGS).
• On a FREE-HIT ball, Batsman cannot be ruled out by any means EXCEPT if the
Batsman gets RUN OUT.
• If the ball hits the ceiling (top) and is caught by the fielder, the batsman will
be declared as OUT.
• If the ball hits the ceiling (top) and crosses the boundary, SIX runs will be
awarded to the batting team.
• Stumping is allowed on Wide Ball.
• If the keeper collects the ball ahead of the stumps, the stumping would not
be counted as legal and it will be declared as a No Ball.
• 1 wicket keeper, at the max 3 fielders can field at boundary line and minimum
2 fielders.
• If Wicket Keeper is changed, the New Wicket Keeper need to inform the LEG
Umpire else it will be declared as NO BALL.
• 1 Run to the Batting Team for NO BALL and WIDE BALL.
• Run on BYEs are allowed.
• Each and Every No Ball is a Free-Hit.
• Consumption of alcohol, pan, mawa, tobacco, cigarettes or any kind of gutkha
is not allowed in the premises and the match. If any found spitting on the turf,
the team will be fined and 5 runs will be deducted.
• SCORE-BOOK is to be maintained. A Player of the Batting Team will be
accompanying the Scorer.
• In case of a TIE in a League match, There will be SUPER OVER.
• In case a player is absent on match day replacement would be given by
committee.
• Trophies (WINNERS AND RUNNERS UP) will be handed over to the owner of
the team i.e. (Team Sponsor).
SPECIAL L.P.L RULES
• Opening both Batsmen CANNOT BOWL IN THE MATCH (Applicable for both
teams playing). THIS RULE IS NOT APPLICABLE IN PLAY OFF MATCHES I.E
SEMI FINALS & FINAL
• POWER BALL:- There will be a power ball in each over of the match. In power
ball the runs scored will be doubled for the batting team, which means if
the batting team scores 1 runs in 1 balls then total of 2 runs will be added
to the score at end of the over. If the batting team loses a wicket in the
power ball then 5 runs per wicket will deducted. The bowling team will
decide the power ball and must inform the umpire about it.
• No Ball or Wide Ball on a Power Ball will grant 2 runs to the batting team
and Power Ball will continue.
• If not utilized until last ball, Last ball of the over will be by-default
considered as Power Ball.
• A Batsman will compulsorily retire after he Scores 40 runs or nearest Figure
above 40 in an Innings. More than one batsman is allowed to Score 40 runs
in an innings.
• Retired Batsman can come back to bat if his team gets all out before innings
end.
• Runs Scored in Power ball by a batsman will be counted in his TEAM SCORE
• Semi- Final and Final will be of 6 overs. ( 5 BOWLERS COMPULSORY + 1
PLAYER CAN BOWL TWICE)
** Final amendments or last minute amendments of the rules can be done by
COMMITTEE and it will be at their sole discretion. **
