PRESENT SIMPLE – USES

 We use the Present Simple to talk about:


1. Daily Routines
Actions we do every day.
Examples:
• I wake up at 6:00 a.m.
• She goes to school at 7:00 a.m.
• They eat lunch at noon.

2. Habits
Things we do regularly.
Examples:
• I play soccer on weekends.
• She watches TV every night.
• We visit our grandparents on Sundays.

3. Facts and General Truths


Things that are always true.
Examples:
• The sun rises in the east.
• Water boils at 100°C.
• Birds fly.

4. Responsibilities / Obligations
Things you have to do.
Examples:
• I do my homework every day.
• She cleans her room on Saturdays.
• They help their parents at home.
 STEP 2 – ✍ Exercises:
Take one sentence from each section and:
1️⃣ Change it to negative
2️⃣ Change it to a question
Ejemplo:
She cleans her room.
→ She doesn’t clean her room.
→ Does she clean her room?

 STEP 3 – Write a short paragraph (6–8 sentences) about:


“My Daily Life”
Include:
✔ 2 routines
✔ 2 habits
✔ 1 responsibility
✔ 1 general fact

Activity:
1. Write 4 sentences about your daily routine.
(Obligatorio: una con he/she)

2. Write 3 sentences about your habits. Use frequency words:


always – usually – sometimes – never
Example: I always do my homework on time

3. Write 2 general facts.

4. Write 4 responsibilities you have at home or school.
