STORYLINE:
*Cad and Charles playing a game while chatting
Angela: Oh! Akala ko ba nag aaral na kayo, diba may pagsusulit kayo sa UCSP bukas?
Cad: Ah yun? Kaya na naming pag aralan yun mamaya, tatapusin lang namin to Ate.
Charles: Oh yea! I won!
Cad: Ikaw nanaman? Lagi ka nalang nananalo ah.
Angela: Oh, paano na yan, panalo na si Charles.
Cad: Isang laro nalang Ate, promise!
Angela: Pero pinangako mo sa akin na mag aaral na kayo matapos ang round na yon.
Cad: Hayst, sige na nga!
*after a few minutes of studying
Charles: *sigh ilang oras na tayo nag aral, wala pang pumapasok sa utak ko!
Cad: Kakalaro mo yan.
Charles: GASPS excuse me?! Eh tayo ang naglalaro, except that I always win in every round.
Cad: Oo na panalo ka nga, eh talo na man sa pag aaral.
Charles: You’re just jealous na palagi akong nananalo-
Angela then enters the room
Angela: Oh, bat kayo nag aaway? Pinaghandaan ko na nga kayo ng miryenda para makapag
aral kayo ng mabuti
Charles: Ate eh, si Cad kasi-
Cad: Oh, ako nanaman-
Angela: Tama na, wag ma kayong mag away. Kung nahihirapan nga kayo sa lessons niyo, edi
sana tinawag nyo ako. Total, makakatulong naman ako sa aralin nyo.
Cad and Charles both looked at each other then sighed. Then, they turned to their Ate
Cad: Pasensya na Ate. Kung nakikinig lang kami sa iyo kanina, edi sana wala na kaming
problema para sa pagsusulit bukas.
Angela: Oh, wag kanang mag sisi kung bakit hindi ka nag aaral kanina. Hali kayo at makinig.
*The two (Cad and Charles) then sat beside their Ate. Cad handed a notebook to Ate and she
started to read the pages
Angela: Hm, let’s see. Political Organizations, tapos Authority and Legitimacy. Nakakamanga
ah. Simula tayo dito sa Political Organizations. reads the notes Ah okay. Para sa inyo dalawa,
ano ang Political Organizations?
*silence spread across the room
Cad: Uh…. ah! A structured group that influences or seeks to wield power in governmental
affairs, tends to force individuals to adapt to their rules for the goodwill of the society.
Angela: Tama! Sila yung nag act as ‘mediators’ sa mga society and political process na may
kakaibang layunin, kasama na ang pag suporta sa mga candidates, lobbying for policy changes,
oh kaya advocating for specific ideologies or social interest.
Cad and Charles: Ah!
Angela: Ngayon, what are the two types of Political Organizations? At ano ang pagkakaiba ng
dalawa?
Charles: Oh! I know this one! Acephalous and Cephalous Societies! Acephalous societies refer
to lack of government and social classification, to which there is no central authority,
administrative power, and judicial institution available within such societies. Meanwhile,
Cephalous is the opposite! In this type of society: wealth, status and privilege corresponds to
authority and power.
Angela: Tumpak! Punta naman tayo sa Classification of Societies.

Angela: Bigay ako ng clue, apat sila.
Cad: Ah! Bands, Tribes, Chiefdoms, at saka State! Bands ang kinokonsiderang maliit or
smallest, and are formed by several families living together. Tribes are bigger than bands, but
do not have a formal and organized political structure. These two are considered Acephalous
Societies.
Charles: Chiefdoms already have a form of social and political structure characterized by a
community leader, then finally we have States, to which they have full control over their
members through an organized political structure. Hah! You know Cad, I can also beat you in
this mini study game Ate is doing.
Cad: Yea yea, whatever. What’s next, Ate?
Angela: Alright, huwaw! Tapos na pala tayo sa Political Organizations! Di ko inakala na madali
lang pala kayo makakasagot sa mga tanong ko!
Cad: Sus! Ano ka ba Ate, ako pa!
Charles: Tsk- diba ikaw yung nag ask ng help ka Ate-
Cad: Oo, pero ikaw yung una nag reklamo-
Angela: Oh sha! Malapit na kayo matapos oh! Nag aaway pa kayo. Sige na, simulan na natin.

Angela: Ohhkhaayyy, Authority and Legitimacy. Ito, this is defined as a form of control that
coerces a person to obey another. What is this?
Charles: Oh! Power! Just like how I had the power to win a match over Cad.
Cad: Haha very funny, tigil mo na nga yan-
Charles: Fair enough.
Angela: And how do you define authority?
Cad: Authority means that a certain political entity has the right to use and exercise its power
over a specific group or society.
Angela: Sana all may karapatan-
Charles and Cad: Ate! Hahays
Angela: Sorry na! Kayo naman ang bitter nyo, oh sha! Merong tatlong Classification of Authority
ayon kay Max Waber. Anu-ano ito?
Charles: Oh! We have: Traditional Authority, where status and power are passed on through
genetics; Charismatic Authority, which is dependent on personality rather than status, and;
Legal - Rational Authority, to which authority and power are exercised based on laws.
Angela: Galing! Now, this is what we call the belief that a certain entity has a right to rule or to
be in authority.
Cad: That would be Legitimacy.
Angela: Ayos! Oh, mukhang tapos na tayo sa iyong aralin ah, sigurado akong ma ace nyo ang
pagsusulit nyong dalawa!
Cad: Di ko nga inexpect na kaya pala naming ma sagutan ang mga katanungan ng ganun ka
bilis! Ang buong akala ko di ko yun makukuha.
Charles: Likewise, pero Ate, how do we consider a criteria to be legitimate?
Angela: Good question! Kinokonsidera natin that a criteria is legitimate if-
random people then started to show up
Julian: Power must be exercised according to rules.
Kerk: Rules must be justified both by the political government and the society.
Jaymee: And, the governed should consent and agree with the power and authority of the
political organization.
Charles: Woah!
Cad: Teka saan sila nanggaling?
Jaymee: That’s not important, kid. This concludes our mini roleplay of our creative reporting in

when their role is called (for example: Acephalous is mentioned, then he/she would either show
gestures depending on the role they have) and show simple actions during the dialogue of the
characters. Once their parts are finished, they are to go to the door for the finale.
