PUR COMM FINAL SCRIPT
Scene 1: Inside the classroom after class
(Sheilla, Ian, Gevy, and Michelle are gathered around one of the desks after class, chatting as they pack up
their things.)
Sheilla: Ugh, that math test was brutal. I think I blanked out on half the questions.
Ian: Same! I don’t know why I thought I could just wing it. I’m pretty sure I flunked that one.
Michelle: (laughing) Well, at least we all struggled together. Misery loves company, right?
Gevy: I actually thought it was kinda okay. But I did study, unlike you guys!
Sheilla: Really, Gevy? How are you always so calm about these things? I’m over here panicking, and you’re
just cruising.
Ian: He’s secretly a math genius. he always acts like he’s just getting by, but then he ends up killing it on every
test.
Gevy: Oh, come on! It’s not like that. I’m just trying to survive like everyone else.
Michelle: Well, if you survived that test, you’ve got some kind of magic power. I think I guessed on half the
answers. (laughs)
Sheilla: Honestly, same. Anyway, who's up for a snack or something? I need to refuel after that brain-drain.
Gevy: I’m down. Anything to get my mind off numbers for a bit.
Ian: I’ll go with you guys, but I need something strong. Like, a whole meal.
Michelle: (laughing) Let’s hit the café or something. I could go for some iced tea right about now.
Sheilla: Sounds good. Meet you guys outside in a minute?
(They all start heading out of the classroom, chatting as they gather their things.)
Scene 2: In a quiet hallway (Alliah joins, Sheilla is no longer present)
(The group is now walking in a quiet, nearly empty hallway. Alliah joins the group, but Sheilla is no longer
present.)
Alliah: Finally, I caught up with you guys! What did I miss?
Ian: Oh, not much. Just the usual post-test trauma. How’d you do?
Alliah: Let’s just say I don’t even want to think about that test right now. But hey, I’ll live.
Michelle: Welcome to the club! We’re just heading to the café to decompress. You in?
Alliah: Definitely. I need some caffeine if I’m gonna survive the rest of the day.
(They continue walking slowly through the quiet hallway.)
Gevy: Oh, and guess what? Ian noticed some serious tension between Mr. Reyes and Mrs. Cruz at the
assembly earlier.
Alliah: Ooh, spill the tea. What happened?
Ian: They were supposed to be discussing the new curriculum, but Mr. Reyes kept interrupting her, and you
could just see her getting mad. It was so awkward.
Michelle: Yeah, she was trying to stay professional, but you could tell she was ready to snap.
Alliah: Wow. Do you think it’s just a work thing, or is there something else going on between them?
Gevy: I was joking that it’s probably a secret love-hate relationship. You know, all that bottled-up tension.
(laughs)
Ian: Yeah, “Faculty Feud: Love in the Teachers’ Lounge” sounds like a good Netflix show.
Alliah: (laughs) I’d watch that. Honestly, though, teacher drama is way more interesting than ours.
Michelle: Right? We should start keeping track. It’s better than anything on TV.
Gevy: Either way, it’s hilarious to watch. I bet the rest of the teachers are gossiping about it as we speak.
Scene 3: Future Plans
(They reach a quiet spot in the hallway, leaning against the walls as they talk about their weekend plans.)
Ian: So, what’s everyone doing this weekend? Any big plans?
Alliah: I’ve got some homework to catch up on, but I’ve been wanting to check out that new movie everyone’s
talking about. You guys wanna go?
Gevy: Oh, the one with all the crazy special effects? I’ve been dying to see that!
Michelle: I’m in! Let’s do dinner before, too. Make it a whole thing.
Ian: Sounds good, but can we go somewhere cheap? My wallet’s feeling kinda empty.
Alliah: No worries, I’ll pick a spot that’s budget-friendly. But no promises on avoiding junk food. (laughs)
Michelle: Deal. As long as it’s better than cafeteria food, I’m good.
Gevy: (laughing) That’s not a high bar, but I’m in!
(They laugh and continue making plans as they stroll through the quiet hallway, heading toward the school
exit.)
