Content Standard
The learner demonstrates an understanding of concepts, underlying theories and principles in the
preparation of farm materials, tools and equipment and occasional health and safety operations in crop
production.

Performance Standard

The learner uses farm materials, tools, and equipment and applies occupational health and safety practices in crop
production.

1. Explain the importance of returning materials to storage or disposing of them properly.


2. Identify company-standard procedures for storing and disposing of materials.
3. Appreciate the role of proper material management in workplace efficiency and safety.

efficiency.

D. Lesson Proper (20 minutes)


1. Meaning of Material Return and Disposal

 Returning Materials: Placing leftover tools, equipment, and supplies in the designated storage
areas according to company standards.

 Disposing Materials: Properly getting rid of used, damaged, or waste materials following OHS
and company procedures.
2. Company Standard Procedures

Returning Materials:

 Clean and inspect materials before returning.

 Place items in their designated storage area.

 Record the return if required (logbook or inventory sheet).

 Report damaged or missing items.

Disposing Materials:

 Segregate waste: biodegradable, recyclable, non-recyclable, hazardous.

 Follow color-coded bins or company disposal policy.

 Handle hazardous materials with proper PPE.

 Avoid mixing incompatible materials.

 Notify supervisor if unsure about disposal.


3. Importance
