4.4 Lifting Plan
a. Lifting appliances are the mobile or stationary equipment used to lift loads.
These are usually powered by mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or
pneumatic mechanism.
b. All lifting appliances shall be designed, engineered, constructed, installed,
tested, operated and maintained in accordance with the specified
standards.
c. The maximum load, as certified, that an item of lifting equipment may
raise, lower or suspend under particular service conditions.
d. Generally, scaffolding that will be provide by general contractor should be
installed earlier for early work stage or other option can using a scissor lift
with a working range of 10 meters if necessary with purposes for further
installation accessories/supporting process.
e. To ensure the lifting equipment/machine should be pass the criteria or
acceptable inspection and have the safety tagging before use.
f. Coordinate about the safety route, electricity and routing plan. To ensure
that the use of the scissor lift must use a special platform for mobilization.
g. Specific to the site and lift, shall be carried out by a competent person to
identify all potential risks associated with the lifting operation. The
competent person shall determine the nature and extent of any measures
required to mitigate risk.

Picture 3 : Loading Plan at Ground Level (reference 520121-0000-DRG-SS-00101

Loading Plan Load Calculation for Scissor Lift 10m

Scissor Lift GS-3246 (Dimension = 1.17 x 1.85 m)

• Weight = 2812 kg
• Lift Capacity = 318 kg/m3
Total Load for Scissor Lift GS-3246
• Weight + Lift Capacity = 3130 kg
• Weight per area = 3130/(1.17 x 1.85) = 1446.06 kg/m2
Convert to kPa = 14.18 kPa
Evaluation of Current Loading Plan
• Area 1 = 15 kPa > 14.18 kPa (OK)
• Area 3 = 15 kPa > 14.18 kPa (OK)
• Area 6 = 15 kPa > 14.18 kPa (OK)
• Area 11 = 15 kPa > 14.18 kPa (OK)

The total working load for scissor lifts GS-3426 has been calculated with the value of 14.18
kPa. The current loading plan which the GS-3426 will operate on has the design load of 15
kPa. The total loading for scissor lifts GS-3426 does not exceed the maximum design load
based on the current loading plan.

c. Machineries/tools equipment for supporting installation should have
inspection and valid certification before use.
d. Ensure proper induction has been provided to workers prior to commencing
work (e.g. safe work procedures, use of equipment or tools, PPE
requirements, identifying and reporting hazards, etc.).
Picture 9 : Safety Induction Before Start Work Activity
e. Educate workers on emergency procedures, contacts and numbers. If
emergency contact information is not posted at the workplace, provide the
worker with a copy to carry with them. The worker compulsory know what
to do during emergency/injury.
f. Site-based office facilities must be equipped with adequate lighting,
ventilation, heating/cooling or air conditioning where conditions demand,
and cleaned and maintained daily. Office furniture is to be provided that
meets the ergonomic requirements prescribed by any applicable office
codes of practice.

Concealed uPVC Conduit Installation In Dry Wall
a. Mark the junction box/draw in box to the form work according to the
shopdrawing location point.
b. Create a hole for conduit raceways using holesaw drill to suit the conduit
size. Insert the pipe into the junction box. Ensure the pipe is fully inserted.
c. The edge and internal surface of the conduit is to be reasonable smooth to
ensure that the cables are not damaged while pulling/wiring process.
d. Secure all junction box to the formwork using nails and steel wire. The
conduit pipes are run in between the hollow frame.
e. The total number of bend along one conduit pipe route from one box to
another is limited to maximum 4 nos and the total angle of the bend do not
exceed 270 degrees.
