I. Introduction
- A quick reminder: Our project is about creating English digital content to promote
traditional craft villages in Da Nang.
- The implementation stage of the project is carried out from Week 7 to Week 12,
with the final product, a digital booklet, to be compiled in Week 13.
- This report summarizes the progress and outcomes achieved up to Week 10,
comparing them with the original project proposal.
II. Implementation Progress (Weeks 7 - 10)
Overall, the implementation of our project has closely followed the key directions and
objectives outlined in the original proposal. However, a few adjustments have been
made during execution to adapt to real-world conditions and optimize the outcomes.
The table below summarizes the key comparisons:

III. Strategies for reaching the target audience
1. Online (screenshot của hashtag của post nào đó)
- We use both English and Vietnamese relevant hashtags, allowing our posts to
appear in searches → enhance the accessibility
- Content-specific hashtags + Location-based hashtags
- We share our posts in popular travel-related Facebook groups such as … to
reach a larger community of travelers
2. Offline
- Visit popular tourist spots such as to introduce our project and encourage visitors
to follow our social media accounts.
IV. Summary of published content
This section provides an overview of all videos and posts our team has published
on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

1. Videos
1.1. Facebook and Instagram
a. Introduction
- Explained the meaning of each letter in our project name - The CRAFT
- Highlighted our project’s mission to revive and promote the traditional craft
villages in Da Nang through English digital content
- Closed with an inspirational message encouraging audiences to explore Da
Nang’s hidden cultural treasures.
b. Cam Ne mat weaving village - Experiential video
- Started with a hook to capture viewers’ attention and encourage them to watch
full video
- Introduced the artisan
- Provided practical information such as directions, prices, activities, and
contact details to help visitors plan their trip
- Ended with a friendly call to action to inspire viewers to experience the village
c. Cam Ne mat weaving village - “The last artisan” (Storytelling video, sth that is
touching and emotional)
- Started with a quote from [Link] in Vietnamese. We decided to keep Mrs.
Thong’s real voice in the opening scene because her tone and words convey
genuine love for her craft, allowing viewers to connect directly with her story
- Highlighted Mrs. Thong’s lifelong dedication to the craft, her struggles to keep
weaving despite several difficulties, and her efforts to pass the skill on to visitors
and younger people.
- Ended with a message reminding viewers that the survival of this craft depends
on new hands willing to continue it.
d. Ma Chau silk village - POV video
- Since we already produced two previous videos with voiceovers, we wanted to
create something different, fresh. So, for Ma Chau silk village, we decided to
make a POV-style video that gives viewers the feeling of “getting lost in Ma Chau
Silk Village.”
- Followed the main character, entering the weaving workshop, touching the silk,
etc.
- Showcased the weaving machines: silk reeling wheels, looms, bobbin and
spool racks, etc.
→ Viewers may feel as if they’re walking through the workshop themselves →
stimulate curiosity
1.2. Tiktok
- Apart from uploading the same videos as on Facebook, we also posted shorter
video clips to better match TikTok’s quick-viewing format and engage a wider
audience. We selected the most impressive and visually appealing footage
combined with available CapCut templates to create these dynamic videos.

Nang’s craft villages more accessible to local and international visitors.

Ne mats, and illustrated their practical uses.

V. Reflection
1. Achievements
- Throughout the process of promoting two traditional villages in Da Nang, our
team has achieved several meaningful results.
- Effective teamwork and clear communication: Each member contributes ideas
and shares responsibilities in researching, writing, filming, and editing content.
This collaboration helps us maintain a smooth workflow. Each member’s ideas
were valued, tasks were completed on time, and the final content was cohesive and
well-organized.
- Enhanced linguistic skills:
+ Through creating English digital content, including writing English captions for
social media posts and English scripts for videos, we can foster our writing skills
and learn how to express ideas clearly and attractively.
+ Through doing voiceovers for our videos, we can improve our pronunciation,
intonation, and stress as we need to deliver information naturally and
engagingly.
+ Our target audience includes both international and domestic visitors, so we have
to translate English content into Vietnamese. Not just word-for-word translation,
it’s about pragmatics, discourse, adaptation, we have to select appropriate words,
consider contexts, etc. Through this process, we can develop translation
competence.
- Improved non-linguistic skills:
+ Digital media production skill, including video editing and visual design
+ Communication skill: interview artisans, communicate with stakeholders. We
interact with different types of people, so we have to adapt our communication
style to each individual. For example, we had the opportunity to connect with the
daughter of an artisan in Ma Chau silk village, who is also a shop manager. We
speak more formally and respectfully with the artisan, but more casually with the
shop manager.
+ Problem-solving skill: adapt to unexpected challenges. For example, when the
artisan in Tuy Loan rice paper village was unavailable, we rescheduled the filming
and immediately contacted Ma Chau silk village to arrange shooting. This quick
response helped us to stay on track.
+ Time management: we learned to set clear timelines and meet deadlines, from
filming, editing to publishing social media content.
- Deepened cultural understanding: By visiting and interviewing local artisans,
we developed a stronger appreciation of traditional crafts and the efforts to
preserve them.
2. Challenges
- One of the main challenges we encountered during the project was uneven
workload distribution.
+ The editing and designing tasks were quite heavy, which slowed our progress.
+ To address this issue, we adjusted our working plan. The content creators not
only wrote the scripts but also selected high-quality photos and video sources.
They also arranged the clips in order according to the script, so the editors
could focus on assembling and refining the final video.
→ This change helped us save time and work more efficiently as a team.
VI. Future plan
In the upcoming weeks, our team will continue executing the digital promotion plan for
the remaining craft villages.
- We will produce and share 1 post showcasing the silk weaving process at Ma
Chau silk village, completing the content series for this village.
- For Tuy Loan rice paper making village, 1 video (food tour-style video and 2
posts will be uploaded on Facebook and Instagram, along with 2 videos shared
on TikTok
- After publishing these materials, our team will collect information and visual
assets from all three villages to compile a digital booklet, which will serve as
the project’s final product, showcasing and promoting Da Nang’s traditional craft
villages.
VII. Conclusion
By Week 10, our team has successfully produced and shared English digital
content about nearly two of the three target villages, achieving impressive
engagement on social media and maintaining alignment with the project
proposal. The upcoming weeks will focus on finalizing the content on Tuy Loan
rice paper making village and preparing materials for a digital booklet,
scheduled for completion in Week 13.
