Title: Conversion of waste egg shells into calcium oxide (Quick lime)
Abstract: This project demonstrates the conversion of waste egg shells into
calcium oxide (Cao), a valuable material with various industrial applications. The
process involves collecting and cleaning egg shells, crushing and grinding them
into a fine powder, and calcining the powder at 900 degrees centigrade to produce
Cao. The resulting calcium oxide is characterized by its high purity and reactivity,
making it suitable for use in construction, water treatment, and agriculture. This
sustainable approach reduces to traditional calcium oxide production methods. The
project showcases a viable solution for egg shell waste management to be
transformed into valuable resources.
Keywords: waste eggshells, calcium oxide, sustaninability, waste management,
circular economy.
