Statistics are highly essential in today's culture since we live in an information age where
we need to know what's going on all around the world. Statistics aid in the collection of critical
and accurate data that we require to live in this day and age. We need data to assist us come to
our own conclusions, whether it's for school or for making decisions in general. It also assists me
in developing critical thinking abilities, obtaining data for successful study, forecasting the future
based on certain decisions and occurrences, and doing statistical analysis of previous and present
events. I use statistics practically every day to produce analysis and predictions for research and
assignments, especially as a student seeking a degree in teaching with a specialization in
mathematics. It also aids in the training of my mind to think in certain ways, such as how to
arrange facts, create hypotheses, and observe probable outcomes.
I only knew the very fundamentals of statistics and probability until recently, thanks to
my senior high school experience, such as how statistical analysis may assist in creating future
forecasts by obtaining the appropriate data. However, now that I've enrolled in a mathematics-
focused school, I realize that statistics is a very complicated subject that covers data collection,
presentation, analysis, and interpretation. It aids in the development of critical thinking skills, the
acquisition of data for a successful research, the predicting of the future based on particular
actions and events, and the statistical analysis of past and current events. Statistical induction is
the use of statistics to form conclusions about some unknown element of a population. For
starters, there are two branches of statistics; descriptive statistics is used to explain the
fundamental properties of the data obtained, and the statistical induction, which comprises the
use of statistics to make inferences of some unknown aspect of a population. Statistics and
probability are not just useful in the classroom; they may also be applied in our daily lives. In
science, statistics and probability are mostly utilized to forecast future natural catastrophes
throughout the world. It's crucial, especially in this day and age, since we live in a world where
knowledge is the bedrock of civilization. The knowledge gleaned from the data will be utilized to
create decisions that will lead to a more favourable result for the future of our society.
