Slide 3: Problem Statement

"Our project proposal emerges from careful observation of persistent challenges affecting our
academic community. We have witnessed firsthand the overwhelming burden placed on
administrative staff during grade retrieval periods, resulting in increased operational costs and
staff fatigue.

Simultaneously, we have observed our fellow students enduring lengthy queues, experiencing
unnecessary stress, and facing restrictions due to limited office hours. These systemic
inefficiencies create a frustrating experience that demands a modern solution. We recognize that
in today's digital age, such barriers to accessing academic information are not just inconvenient—
they're unacceptable."

Slide 4: Proposed Solution

"In response to these challenges, we will develop the Online Grades Viewer system—a
comprehensive digital solution designed with both administrators and students in mind.

For administrators, our system will provide intuitive tools for managing student accounts,
efficiently updating grades, and maintaining detailed audit logs for accountability and
transparency.

For students, we will prioritize accessibility and security, offering secure authentication
protocols, round-the-clock grade access, and full mobile compatibility so students can check their
academic progress anywhere, anytime.

This solution will represent a fundamental shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive
service delivery."

Slide 5: Project Objectives

"Our primary objective is ambitious yet achievable: to design and develop a web-based system
that will revolutionize how Baao Community College students access their academic records.

We will establish specific milestones including the creation of streamlined student registration
processes, robust login and authentication systems, intuitive grade viewing interfaces, and
comprehensive administrative panels for efficient grade management.

Recognizing that technology should serve people, not burden them, we will commit to evaluating
our system against ISO 25010 standards. This will ensure we deliver not just a functional product,
but one that will exemplify excellence in usability, reliability, and security."
Slide 6: Expected Benefits

"The impact of our Online Grades Viewer will extend far beyond mere convenience. For
students, we will eliminate the need for physical visits to the registrar's office, transforming what
is currently a time-consuming ordeal into a simple, stress-free experience available 24/7.

The administrative benefits will be equally significant. By reducing manual workloads and
minimizing student foot traffic, our system will allow staff to focus on higher-value activities that
directly support student success.

Perhaps most importantly, we will enhance the overall academic experience by removing barriers
between students and their academic information, fostering a more transparent and responsive
educational environment."

Slide 7: Literature Review

"Our research is grounded in substantial academic evidence demonstrating the transformative

potential of web-based educational systems. Lee et al. (2021) documented significant
improvements in student satisfaction and accessibility when institutions adopt digital grade
management systems.

Particularly compelling was Ramos' (2019) study, which quantified a 40% reduction in waiting
times during grade release periods—a finding that directly validates our approach.

However, our analysis of existing commercial solutions like OpenSIS and PowerSchool revealed
significant barriers including prohibitive implementation costs and interfaces too complex for
smaller institutions. These findings reinforce our commitment to developing a tailored solution
that will address the unique needs of our college community."

Slide 8: Research Gap

"Through our comprehensive analysis, we have identified critical gaps in current systems that our
solution will uniquely address. Many existing platforms suffer from high implementation costs
that strain institutional budgets, overly complex interfaces that intimidate users, and security
vulnerabilities that compromise sensitive academic data.

Our system will bridge these gaps by offering a cost-effective solution specifically designed for
institutions like Baao Community College. We will prioritize intuitive design, robust security
features, and strict compliance with ISO 25010 quality standards.

This targeted approach will ensure we deliver maximum value while maintaining the highest
standards of reliability and user experience."
Slide 9: Methodology

"Our research methodology will combine rigorous analysis with practical development. We will
employ a descriptive-developmental research design that will allow us to thoroughly understand
current processes while simultaneously building our solution.

The descriptive component will involve detailed analysis of existing manual grade retrieval
procedures, documenting inefficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities. Our
developmental approach will utilize an iterative model that will prioritize flexibility and
continuous stakeholder engagement.

This methodology will prove invaluable, enabling us to reduce development risks while ensuring
our final product truly meets user needs based on real feedback from our college community."

Slide 10: Development Phases

"Our development process will be structured around iterative phases, each building upon the
previous while incorporating stakeholder feedback. This approach will allow us to maintain
momentum while ensuring quality at every stage.

Rather than pursuing a linear development path, we will embrace flexibility, allowing each phase
to inform and improve subsequent iterations. This methodology will prove particularly effective
in addressing unforeseen challenges and incorporating valuable insights from our testing
community."

Slide 11: Technical Specifications

"Our system architecture will leverage carefully selected technologies chosen for their reliability,
security, and scalability. Each component will be evaluated not just for its current capabilities, but
for its potential to support future growth and enhancement.

We will prioritize technologies that will ensure robust performance while maintaining the
simplicity our users deserve. This technical foundation will provide the stability necessary for a
system that will serve our college community for years to come."

Slide 12: Research Sample & Data Collection

"Our evaluation methodology will be designed to capture comprehensive feedback from our
diverse user base. We will develop structured questionnaires utilizing a 5-point Likert scale,
supplemented by direct observation of user interactions to gather both quantitative and qualitative
insights.

Our sample will include 246 respondents, comprising 18 CIT department staff members and 228
students—ensuring representation across all system user groups. This substantial sample size will
provide confidence in our findings and validate the system's effectiveness in real-world
conditions."

Slide 13: Summary & Conclusion

"Today, we have demonstrated how the Online Grades Viewer will successfully transform grade
retrieval from a manual, time-consuming process into an efficient, accessible digital experience.
Our system will deliver on its promise of 24/7 grade access while maintaining the highest
standards of security and usability.

The measurable benefits will be clear: reduced administrative workload, eliminated student
queues, and enhanced overall academic experience. More importantly, we will create a
foundation for future innovation, with plans to expand to other departments and develop a
dedicated mobile application.

This project will represent more than a technical achievement—it will demonstrate our
commitment to using technology to solve real problems and improve lives within our academic
community. We are confident this system will serve Baao Community College well, and we are
excited about the possibilities it will create for future enhancements.

Thank you for your attention and support. I welcome any questions you may have about our
project proposal."
