Dedication
First and foremost, the researchers proudly dedicate this study to the parents and relatives who
generously gave their support and encouraged the researchers to keep up their efforts to
accomplish the study’s primary goals and to attain the knowledge and morals they will have until
the near future.
Additionally, the researchers would like to use the opportunity to dedicate their study to the
practical research teachers who supported and guided them along the way, Ms. Kaye Ann B.
Carel, the educator who primarily pushed learners to do their best in exploring the concepts of
research. The research adviser provided moral support and guidance. She never got tired of
reminding us about the tasks that needed to be done and was always willing to help. Even though
research can be stressful and challenging, she never made us feel pressured.
Lastly, the researchers have dedicated their work to the Almighty God, who filled the
researchers with hope that fueled them to continue their research despite the problems
encountered, love that pushed the researchers to see the values of their education, and knowledge
that they utilized to educate and inspire themselves as well as upcoming researchers.

ABSTRACT
This study assessed the acceptability of Teamarind, an herbal tea made from
Ipil-Ipil (Leucaena leucocephala), as a potential beverage for supporting digestion.
The research aimed to determine how consumers perceive the product in terms of
appearance, aroma, taste, and cost-effectiveness, and to evaluate its overall level of
acceptance. A descriptive quantitative research design was utilized, and data were
gathered through a survey questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure
respondents’ evaluations. The study was anchored on Consumer Acceptance
Theory, which explains how product attributes influence consumer preferences and
purchasing decisions. Results showed that Teamarind was generally rated as
acceptable by the respondents, indicating a positive perception of the product.
Among the evaluated attributes, appearance and cost-effectiveness received
favorable responses, while aroma and taste were rated moderately positive,
suggesting that improvements in flavor balance may further enhance consumer
satisfaction. The findings imply that Teamarind has potential as a natural and
affordable herbal tea alternative for individuals seeking digestive support.
However, despite its promising acceptability, further development is recommended
to refine its formulation and packaging to increase market appeal. Additionally, the
study suggests conducting further research involving larger sample sizes and
laboratory testing to validate its safety, nutritional content, health benefits, and
shelf life. Overall, the results highlight the potential of Teamarind as an innovative
herbal beverage while emphasizing the need for continuous product improvement
and scientific validation.
