Slide 1 — Title
“Good day everyone, I am Rhey Ann Paz and. Today, I’m excited to introduce FloodSight—an AI-powered
flood prediction and mobility platform built to help communities stay safe, informed, and prepared during
heavy rainfall.”
Slide 2 — Tagline: See the Flood Before it Finds You
“so I made a tagline that fits for floodsight whish is to see the flood before it finds you
This tagline captures the essence of FloodSight—early awareness. It give people visibility into flooding
risks before they are directly affected, helping reduce panic and improve decision-making.”
Slide 4 — Industry
“FloodSight sits at the crossroads of multiple industries: smart cities, disaster response, GIS data science,
and civil engineering. As climate risks increase, LGUs and private sectors urgently need modern tools like
FloodSight to adapt and protect their communities.”
Slide 5 — VALUE PROPOSITION (BASA PPT)
Problem
“Flooding is often unpredictable because it forms quickly due to intense rainfall and insufficient drainage.
Communities rarely get localized warnings. As a result, people get stranded, roads become unsafe, and
responders act with incomplete information.”
Pains
“Here we specify the real consequences of the problem: unsafe routes, slow response from LGUs, inefficient
monitoring of multiple barangays, and lack of early warnings. These pains highlight why FloodSight is
urgently needed.”
Needs
“The key need is clear: accurate, real-time, location-specific flood information. Today, citizens rely on
vague updates or crowdsourced information that is often late or unverified. FloodSight fills that gap with
science-backed predictions.”
Stakeholders
“This slide identifies who benefits from FloodSight. Commuters and riders need safer routes; LGUs need
reliable data for response; urban planners need insights to improve infrastructure. FloodSight serves all of
them with one unified platform.”
Slide 9 — Real Scenarios
“This slide emphasizes emotional and relatable situations: stranded kids, submerged streets, trapped
families. These stories remind us that floods are not just data points—they affect real lives daily.”
Slide 11 — FloodSight’s Data and AI Engine (BASA PPT)
“This shows what powers FloodSight: rainfall intensity from sensors, drainage and river capacity from LGU
data, historic flood patterns, and elevation-based water flow paths. By combining these layers, our AI
predicts which streets are likely to flood next.”
Slide 13 — Why It’s Reliable
“FloodSight is easy to understand, and simple, relevant to daily life, it is also based on civil engineering and
ai modeling, and also it helps everyone especially riders, comuters, barangays, Lgu’s
Slide 14 — Founding Team
“This slide introduces the team members responsible for making FloodSight possible: leadership, AI
engineers, civil engineers, product designers, and marketers. Each is essential to both technical success
and user adoption.”
Slide 15 — three major pre-launch RISKS with mitigation plans (BASA PPT)
“This acknowledges risks upfront—like incomplete government datasets or user unfamiliarity with new tech
—and presents concrete solutions such as using satellite data, conducting community demos, and retraining
the AI model regularly.”
Slide 16 — 30-Day Timeline
Here’s our 30-day pre-launch plan.
Days 1 to 5 are focused on building the foundation—creating the landing page, setting up our brand kit, and
finalizing the core features of our MVP. This gives us a solid starting point.
Days 6 to 10 are dedicated to training the first version of the AI model using rainfall and elevation data.
This step ensures we have an early predictive system to refine later.
Days 11 to 15 involve developing the mobile prototype in Figma and building the SMS alert system through
Twilio. This allows us to test both UI and alert functionality early.
Days 16 to 20 are for real-world validation. We conduct a pilot test with one barangay, gather feedback, and
identify improvements based on actual user interaction.
Days 21 to 25 focus on building awareness by preparing social media content, teaser posts, and early
promotional materials to generate interest before launch.
Finally, Days 26 to 30 are for polishing—stress-testing the system, fixing UI issues, and finalizing all
launch materials to ensure we’re ready for deployment.
By the end of these 30 days, we’ll have a working MVP, validated feedback, early visibility, and a prepared
launch package.”
Slide 17 — Launch Strategy (BASA PPT)
“This slide separates offline and online strategies.
Offline: barangay map stations, tricycle terminals, schools.
Online: livestream demos, targeted ads, weather influencers.
The blend ensures both mass reach and grassroots adoption.”
Slide 18 — Contingency Plan
In case our initial launch doesn’t gain enough traction, we have a clear contingency plan to ensure
FloodSight still gains adoption and maintains accurate data.
First, we’ll offer a free 30-day premium access for LGUs, allowing them to try FloodSight at no cost and
integrate it into their disaster-response workflow.
Second, we’ll activate our ‘Flood Report’ crowdsourcing feature, where residents can submit quick flood
updates. This boosts engagement and improves the accuracy of our real-time data.
Next, we’ll release a lighter SMS-only version for users without smartphones or mobile data, ensuring that
everyone can still receive flood alerts.
Lastly, we’ll partner with local universities for rapid user testing and feedback, helping us refine features
and improve the model faster.
These steps ensure that FloodSight remains accessible, reliable, and impactful even if the initial launch faces
challenges.”
Slide 19 — KPIs (KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR) BASA PPT
“These KPIs reflect the app’s health:
Sign-ups show awareness
Prediction accuracy shows reliability
Daily active users show long-term value
We pair each KPI with tracking tools and improvement strategies.”
Slides 20–22 — Prototype Screens
📱 Screen 1 — Splash Screen / App Launch
“This is the FloodSight launch screen.
When a user opens the app, they are greeted with our logo and our core mission: Predict. Prepare. Protect.
This establishes what the app is all about from the very beginning—flood awareness, safety, and
preparation.”
📱 Screen 2 — Route Alert & Safe Path Recommendation
“Once inside the app, users immediately see flood alerts along their route.
Here, FloodSight detects heavy flooding in Barangay San Dionisio and warns the user to avoid Dr. Santos
Road.
The app then automatically shows alternate routes:
The red line indicates the best alternate route.
The black line shows a secondary option.
This helps commuters and riders choose the safest path during heavy rain.”
📱 Screen 3 — Flood Alert Forecast
“This screen shows the flood and rainfall forecast for the user’s city.
Users receive warnings on heavy rainfall, expected flood severity, and hourly percentages of rain.
This allows people to plan their commute in advance—especially workers, riders, and students who need
accurate timing.”
📱 Screen 4 — Live Flood Map
“Here, FloodSight displays a live flood risk map for the barangay.
The colors show flood severity:
Green for low risk
Orange for moderate risk
Red for high risk
This makes it very easy for residents and LGUs to see which areas are safe, which are risky, and which are
completely impassable.”
