Notes. Jack the ripper is the most famous serial killer of all time.
The ripper`s idendity has never been established and some enthusiasts are still searching for trace. The name originated in a letter called "Dear boss", written by someone claiming to be the murderer. Someone believe the letter was a hoax, and may have been written by a journalist in attempt to heighten interest in the story. The killer also had several other nicknames, amongst them were "The whitechapel murderer" popular and the "Leather Apron" common. Ironically if one study the mystery of Jack the Ripper one will discover that one knows a lot more about the victims then the murder himself. Part of the reason for this is that Jack the Ripper was never caught and we still have no idea who he was or what his life was like. Some of the favoured suspects were James Maybrick and Prince Albert Victor, but the investigation missed the sort of mental that pushed Jack to such a brutal murderer.
The large attacks against women during the late 1880s adds uncertainty to how many victims were killed by the same person. 11 seperate murders where committed between 3 Aprill 1888 to the 13th of February 1891. Five of the elven Whitechapel murders are widely belived to be the work of the Ripper. (AFTENPOSTEN ARTICLE) According to an article I discovered on "Aftenposten" this is how Jack looked like. (POINT AT PICTURE). Scotland yard thinks they now know how he looked, how how old he was and where he lived. Back in 1888 Scotland yard reported that Jack the ripper was a frightening normal person, very good at hiding his dark secrets. The investigation team has used new advanced teqniques to develop a new profile for the killer. According to 118 years old evidence The Ripper was between 25 and 35 years old, between 1.65 and 1.70 meters tall and muscular.

The british author and lawyer John Morris newly released a book called "Jack the ripper: The hand of a woman" The book turns the earlier theories upside down and claims there is no doubt that the killer was a female. He supports his theory by saying that obvious evidence that points in the direction of a female has until now been ingnored . He writes that the woman behind the killings was named Lizzie williams (which is her, POINT AT PICTURE). Lizzie Williams was married to Queen Victorias Doctor, John Williams who at the time was one of the prime suspects for the murders. In addition, John Williams had a relationship with one of the victims. Morris looks upon this as a obvious motivation. Right after the murders Lizzie had a nervous breakdown and died of cancer in 1912.

I have just read two articles written by two different indivduals who both claim they know who Jack The Ripper was. With their so called "evidence" they claim they have finally discovered the truth. But what does this tell us? Clearly their is no certainty, and no obvious evidence and we still dont know who the person who supposedly murdered a minimum of 5 women is.
(MURDERS) As I said it remains uncertainty in how many Jack the Ripper actually killed. The 11 seperate murders where known by the police as the "Whitechapel murders" . 5 of the elven Whitchapel murders are known as the "canonical five" Experts point to deep throat slashes and removal of internal organs. The caconical five Ripper victims are Mary Annn NIchols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth STride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kelly. Nichole was the first victim and her body was discovered Friday 31st of Augut 1888. The throat had two large cuts, and the lower part of the abdomen war partly ripped by a deep wound. She also had several other cuts, alle caused by the same knife.
Chapman was discovered Saturday 8th September 1888 in a backyard. She had the exact or at least very similar wounds as Nichole.
Then Stride and Eddowes were killed in the morning of Sunday 30th of September 1888. Stride was found first and they determined that the cause of death was a large cut on the left side of her neck. Eddowes on the hand had her throat served and several other stab and cut wounds on the rest of her body. THe last of the Canonical Five victims was killed where she lived, in here own bed. As in the case of the three others, she had her throat served down to the spine and were missing several organs, including her heart.
