The Clockmaker Who Stole Tomorrow
Page I — The Shop of Stolen Time
In the narrow alleyways of Velmora stood a tiny shop with no sign. Inside worked Tomas Alder, a
clockmaker who did not repair clocks — he repaired moments.
Shelves held hundreds of strange timepieces, each ticking at a slightly different rhythm. Some ran
slower than time. Some faster. A few ran backwards.
People came to Tomas when something in their lives had broken in a way that ordinary time could
not fix.
Page II — The Woman With the Broken Day
One rainy evening a woman arrived carrying a small wooden box.
Inside was a pocket watch frozen at 3:17.
“My husband died at this moment,” she said. “But every day at 3:17 I hear his footsteps again.”
Tomas opened the watch carefully.
Inside the mechanism, one gear was missing.
Page III — The Market of Lost Hours
Tomas knew where missing minutes went.
Beneath the city was a hidden marketplace called the Hour Bazaar where merchants traded in
stolen time.
If Tomas wanted the missing gear, he would have to buy it back.
Page IV — The Price of Tomorrow
A merchant offered the missing minute.
“Give me tomorrow,” he said.
Tomas understood the bargain instantly. He would live one day less.
Page V — The Clock That Ran Again
The pocket watch ticked again.
But in Tomas’s workshop, one page of the calendar had vanished.
Tomorrow had already been spent.
