To commence with, the main cause related to children obesity is poor diet. The
reason for this is that they consume a lot of junk food, such as fried chicken,
potato chips and candies, which are obviously low in nutrients, but high in
calories. In addition, they have an inactive lifestyle. Children love spending their
leisure time sitting front of a screen like TV, computers or smartphones. They
don’t like doing exercise or some outdoor activities, which can help them burn
calories during the day.
In my opinion, the best approach to overcome children obesity is that parents
need to play a greater role in controlling what their children eat. For example,
they should cook dishes with more vegetables, fish, and should not let the
children eat too much fast food or snack between meals. Furthermore, parents
should limit the time children spending in front of a screen. For instance,
children are allowed to use the smartphone for only 30 minutes per a day.
Besides, parents should do exercise with their kids to encourage them to lead
more active lives.
To conclude, the children obesity has become a crucial part of our life. It has
now been shown that the main cause related to children obesity is poor diet and
inactive lifestyle, but the best solution to overcome that is parents should control
children’s diets and screen time. It is expected that this trend will continue to
increase in the future.
