Course Reflection
Overall, HR Management is a highly inspiring and practical course. What impressed me
the most was that at the end of almost every class, we had practice-based activities built around
real-life HR scenarios. These activities required us to work in groups, which not only helped me
apply HR concepts in a realistic context but also gave me valuable opportunities to collaborate
with different teammates. Through these group tasks, I was able to better understand teamwork
dynamics, improve my communication skills, and gradually identify teammates who shared
similar goals and working attitudes with me.
Another aspect that I truly appreciated was the teaching approach of Ms. Heidi. Instead of
limiting the course to theoretical knowledge, she made a great effort to connect classroom
learning with the real business world. In particular, inviting a guest speaker with hands-on
industry experience was a highlight of the course. The speaker offered us an honest and
insightful perspective on the realities of working in HR, including the challenges, ethical
dilemmas, and less visible aspects of the profession. This allowed us to gain a deeper and more
realistic understanding of what HR professionals actually face in practice.
Overall, the balance between theory and real-world application made this course
especially meaningful to me. Personally, I value learning that goes beyond textbooks, and HR
Management successfully provided both academic foundations and practical insights, making it
one of the most valuable and memorable courses I have taken.
