TARGET MY INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES
Assist the Cooperating Teacher in preparing class activities
Facilitate LDM class activities with minimum supervision from the Cooperating Teacher
Design contextualized learning activities aligned with the most essential learning competencies
Use professional reflection and learning to improve practice
Clarifying My Task
The class is made up of different kinds of learners. They nay have different ages, gender, learning styles, interest, learning
preferences and others. Diversity includes learners of all abilities and backgrounds. Teachers must understand these differences in
order to provide for a learning environment that is both inclusive and effective.
Students may defer in the following:
Gender
Needs , Race
Strengths . Creed / religious background
Interest . Cultural background
Experiences . Giftedness / talents
Socio-Economic status
Learning Modalities / Styles: a( visual) b) auditory c) kinesthetic and d) Tactile
Multiple Intelligences a) Spatial b) verbal / linguistic c) Musical d)( intrapersonal e) interpersonal f) bodily/
kinesthetic g) naturalistic h) EXISTENTIAL, and Logical/Mathematical
Brain-based learning a) right brain and b) left brain
According to Carol Ann Tomlinson differentiated instruction is, “giving students multiple options for taking in information”.
Teachers must be able to observe and understand the differences and similarities among students and use these to plan for
instruction. It involves these three instructional components:
1. Content
2. Process
3. Product
Advantages of Differentiated Instruction
1. Effective for types of learners
2. Can make students responsible for their own learning
3. More options on learning differentiated materials
4. Less discipline problem in the classroom
5. Provide more opportunities for equity and acknowledges differences
Disadvantages of Differentiated Instruction
1. Requires more work in lesson planning and lesson execution
2. Needs more time in preparation of instructional materials and instructional activities
3. More resource-intensive
4. Does not coincide with standardized tests
As Practice Teachers, you are expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the diversity of learners and to
use differentiated activities to cater individual differences

REVISITING THE INFOGRAPHICS
There are three I’s and two C’s in the instructional process:
The three I’s are:
1. Innovative
2. Integrative
3. Interactive
The two C’s are:
1. Collaborative
2. Cooperative
Innovative - Teachers must use a wide array of instructional strategy to make the students highly engaged in the teaching-
learning process. The strategies to be used must cater to the diversity of learners.
Interactive: Teachers must ensure that there is a meaningful student engagement in the class. All students must participate
in all the teaching-learning activities.
Integrative: Curriculum is seamless and borderless. Teachers must see to it that all the learning gained in the classroom
must have a unifying process. Each subjects complement the lesson learned in the various disciplines.
Collaborative: Teachers must plan together and must articulate the lessons vertically and horizontally to ensure that there
smooth transition to glaring gaps and deficiency in the subjects.
Cooperative: The use of cooperative strategies in class will promote unity, cooperation and teamwork between and among
Classes.

Performance Task 2
Write a lesson plan using contextual learning activities addressing the different strength and needs of your students. Make
sure that those activities are aligned with the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC ) prescribed by the Department of
Education. You may paste/attach your encoded lesson plan on the space provided below.
Writing my Reflection
Complete the statements given below:
Differentiated instruction benefits our learners because It recognizes that every student is different and has their own way of
learning. By using different teaching styles, we create a classroom where everyone feels included and can learn in the way that works
best for them. It helps make sure no student is left behind just because they learn differently.

As a future teacher, I can employ the following strategies un my classes
I will use fun and active strategies like learning stations, picture walls, and think-pair-teach activities. I can also
use number codes and games to keep the lessons exciting. These activities help stop the classroom from
becoming boring and make sure that my students stay happy, motivated, and excited to participate in our
lessons every day.
