Ladakh
Ladakh offers a
stunning array of
tourist destinations,
including high-
altitude lakes,
majestic monasteries,
and unique
landscapes. Some of
the most popular
spots
include Pangong
Lake, Nubra Valley,
Shanti Stupa, Leh
Palace, and Magnetic
Hill.
 Pangong Lake, one of the most
Pangong famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives
its name from the Tibetan word,
Lake “Pangong Tso”, which means “high
grassland lake”. You could spend
hours in contemplation here, and
still not have enough of its beauty.
Pangong Lake is also known to
change colors, appearing blue, green
and red at different times. If you
have decided to go on a trip to
Ladakh anytime soon, don’t forget to
visit the Pangong Lake. The beauty
which awaits you there cannot be
described in words. It has to be seen,
felt and absorbed within yourself.
 Major attraction of Nubra is the highest motorable road
Nubra Khardongla pass (18,380ft.) majestic peaks and glaciers
enchanting valleys and villages. Diskit and Samstanling
Valley Gonpa, Panamik hot spring, double humped camel
safari, river rafting, trekking and Sunbathe in the sand
dunes at Hunder are also a great source of attraction for
the touristsThis valley is popularly known as Ldumra or
the valley of orchard/flowers. It is situated in the North of
Ladakh, between Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of
Himalayas. Nubra lies at average altitude about 10,000
feet above sea level. The climate, of the areas being soft,
soil is much fertile and the vegetation of the area is
comparatively thicker than those of the other areas of
Ladakh. Shrubs, bushes and trees grow in abundance
wherever there is any source of water. Due to this reason
Nubra has acquired its right name- Ldumra. Shayok and
Siachan rivers forms fairly large drain in Nubra. Nubra is
a broad valley with lofty mountains on its all sides. Valley
assumes greater attractions at the site where both the
rivers meet.
 The face of the Ladakh Tourism, the
Shanti white-domes Shanti Stupa was built
in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist
Stupa Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura as a
part of the Peace Pagoda mission.
The stupa is a symbol of the ties
between the people of Japan and
Ladakh. Within the stupa, there are
relics of the Buddha, enshrined by
the 14th Dalai Lama. The stupa is
spread over two levels. First level
has Buddha idol, and second
features relics depicting the
"birth" of Buddha, the death of
Buddha (mahanirvana) and Buddha
"defeating the devils" while
meditating.

 Leh Palace is a former royal palace
Leh overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan
town of Leh. Modelled on the Potala
Palace Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, the palace was
built by King Sengge Namgyal in the
17th century. It is nine storeys high; the
upper floors accommodated the royal
family, while the lower floors held
stables and store rooms. The palace
was abandoned when Dogra forces
took control of Ladakh in the mid 19th
century, and the royal family moved to
Stok Palace. The construction of the
palace on the Tsemo Hill was initiated
by Tsewang Namgyal, the founder of
the Namgyal dynasty of Ladakh in 1553
and was completed by his nephew
Sengge Namgyal.
Karnataka
Karnataka boasts a
diverse range of tourist
attractions, from
historical sites and
temples to wildlife
sanctuaries and hill
stations. Some popular
destinations incland

capital city. Other
notable places include
Gokarna, a beach town
with temples, and
Chikmagalur, a lush
green hill

 Mysore Palace, also known
as Amba Vilas Palace, is a
Mysore historical palace and a royal
residence. It is located in Mysore,
Karnataka used to be the official
residence of the Wadiyar Dynasty
and the seat of the Kingdom of
Mysore. The palace is in the centre
of Mysore, and faces the Chamundi
Hills eastward. Mysore is commonly
described as the 'City of the Palaces',
and there are seven palaces
including this one. However, the
Mysore Palace refers specifically to
the one within the new fort
 Srikshetra Gokarna is one of the
holiest places in India. The Father of
universe Parashiva is in Gokarna in
Gokarna the form of Athmalinga. The temple
is located on the sea shore of the
western sea. The Almighty, famous
as Mahabaleshwara is also known
as the Sarvabhouma. This is also
the place, where the most revered
Hindu saint Adi Shankaracharya,
who spread the spiritual knowledge
from South to North all over India,
established
ShreeRamachandrapuraMath, the
sacred and saintly Jagadguru
Peetam.
 Hampi’s spectacular setting is
dominated by river Tungabhadra,
Hampi craggy hill ranges and open
plains, with widespread physical
remains. The sophistication of the
varied urban, royal and sacred
systems is evident from the more
than 1600 surviving remains that
include forts, riverside features,
royal and sacred complexes,
temples, shrines, pillared halls,
Mandapas, memorial structures,
gateways, defence check posts,
stables, water structures, etc.
 Kodagu is a hilly district of Karnataka popularly
called as Coorg. This hills region is a part of
Western Ghat and it covers an area of 4102 sq.
Kodagu Km. Located about 257 km away from state
capital, Bangalore. Madikeri is the main town of
Coorg and it also serve as the district
headquarters. Other major cities of the Kodagu
are Virajpet, Kushalanagara and Somwarpet.
Coorg District is divided into the three talukas
namely Madikeri, Virajpet and Somwarpet.
 Coorg District is mostly rural and its economy
mainly depends on agriculture, plantations,
forestry and Tourism. This region is famous for
the productions of coffee and it play a vital role
of district economy. Today, tourism related
businesses are also other major sources of
income by the natives. Coorg is a lovely hill
sation for the travellers where you will find
several beautiful waterfalls, Tea & Coffee
estates, Wildlife, Mountain ranges and lovely
site scenes including lots of religious places.
