Course Title: Assessment of Learning 2

REFLECTION
Assessment of Learning 2 is the continuation of our previous course
Assessment of Learning 1. This course tackles different methods, tools,
strategies, and techniques in assessing the learning of the students. It is
important that we know what particular methods we will use in assessing
so that we can ensure that the learners really gain knowledge, skills and
values throughout the teaching learning process.

Along our discussion about this course, I have gained learnings

which I really think will help me as a future educator. Aside from
formulating assessment tools, I also learned how to compute the grades
of the students. However, I struggled with the computation real hard.
Sometimes I get confused because there are so many numbers involved,
and I have to solve them separately. I remember that I even felt dizzy
after finishing the activity only to find out that I have answered it
wrongly. But I really obtained a lot of understanding after the lesson. I
can imagine the struggles and hardships faced by the former teachers
who have to compute the student’s grades manually.

Moreover, one of the topics I really enjoyed is the formulation of

different Rubrics. In terms of the student’s performance, we need to
consider using Rubric to properly assess their skills. In doing so, we can
prevent biases and unfair judgement. It will also guide the students on
what to do and what to develop along the activity, providing them the
criteria that they will consider in doing it. Overall, this lesson helps me a
lot in various aspects.
