CHAPTER ONE
Introduction: General Overview of the OS
Operating system is the most essential piece of software in a computer, it acts as
the sophisticated intermediately between the user, the hardware and the
software, that is to say that it is an interface between you (user) and the
application/ task you have to run and the hardware.
In addition, Operating system can be defined as the main software that
manages ,direct , distribute , process computer software and hardware, and let
you run other programs.
Its examples include:
MacOs , Android and Linux, windows and with windows 11 been the latest
version released for the advancement of ICT and better performance. Windows
11 succeed Windows 10(2015). windows 11 ,emphasizes productivity, security,
and modern design for hybrid work environments. This highlights include a
centered taskbar, Layouts for multitasking, Widgets board, improved virtual
desktops, better touch support, and AI-enhanced features (e.g., Copilot
integration ). Windows 11 focuses on security (Trust :Secure Boot) and
performance optimization for newer hardware, making it ideal for gaming,
creative work, and professional use.

CHAPTER TWO
History of OS Under Research:
The operating system have under gone several Generations of changes from
1940s down to 2000 and down to the AI age. Recently the OS is Under
Research historically searching for the speed , durability, security, etc.
Windows 11 development began internally after Windows 10's, as a service
model. Microsoft announced it on June 24, 2021, during a virtual event,
codenamed "Sun Valley." It was released to manufacturing on June 24, 2021,
and became generally available on October 5, 2021.
The OS introduced stricter hardware requirements (Secure Boot, compatible 64-
bit processors) for enhanced security. Major updates include:
22H2 (2022 Update) – Performance and UI refinements
23H2 (2023 Update) – Copilot AI integration
24H2 (2024 Update) – Further AI features, better support.
Ongoing annual Features
Windows 11 marks Microsoft's shift toward AI-driven experiences and modern
computing security.
Windows was designed in 1985 by Microsoft to provide graphic User interface.

CHAPTER THREE
System Configuration Required and Compatibility:
Windows 11 has stricter minimum hardware requirements than Windows 10 for
security and performance:
Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2+ cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or
SoC (e.g., Intel 8th Gen+, AMD Ryzen 2000+, Qualcomm Snapdragon 850+).
Full list: [Link]/CPUlist
RAM: 4 GB minimum
Storage: 64 GB or larger, for updates.
Graphics
Display: 9" diagonal, HD Resolution,8-bit color
Firmware: UEFI with Secure Boot capable.
Internet: Required for Home/Pro setup (Microsoft account)
Compatibility: Only supported on CPUs; older hardware may run via unofficial
methods but loses updates/security support.

CHAPTER FOUR
Process of Installation:
Upgrade from Windows 10 if Eligible
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
Check for updates → Download and install Windows 11 if offered (free for
compatible devices).
Clean Installation (Recommended for new/fresh setup):
Download Windows 11 ISO from
[Link]/software-download/windows11
Create bootable USB (8 GB+): Use Rufus or Microsoft's Media Creation Tool.
Boot from USB: Enter BIOS/UEFI (usually F2/Del), set USB as first boot
device, enable Secure Boot & TPM if needed.
In Setup: Select language → Install now → Enter product key (or skip) →
Choose Custom install → Delete old partitions → Select unallocated space →
Install.
Follow on-screen prompts: Create account, set privacy, complete setup.

CHAPTER FIVE
Conclusion and References:
Windows 11 is a modern, secure, and visually appealing OS that builds on
Windows 10 with better multitasking, AI features, gaming enhancements, and
hardware-level security. While stricter requirements limit upgrades on older
devices, it delivers improved productivity and security As Microsoft shifts
toward AI integration, Windows 11 remains the most advanced and best for
compatible hardware.
