Introduction
Floods are the most prevalent natural disasters, and floods growing frequency
and intensity have been widely recorded over the previous decades. The Philippines is
consistently ranked as one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries, with flooding
being a primary hazard. This integration empowers individuals and communities to
build their flood Monitoring systems and opens the door to research, innovation, and
the development of localized Flood resilience strategies (Saida et al., 2024). Flood
water level sensors using “Aqua Alarm” present For investigation due to their
potential to see flood monitoring technology. The “Aqua Alarm” is like a small brain
that can make things happen. By the use of “Aqua Alarm” to create a smart gadget
that detect the water level.. When the water gets too high, the Light and buzzer will
tell us if it has flood. This project is all about keeping our communities safe from
flooding Disasters. This helps us stay safe and prepared during heavy rains and
typhoons in our community. Once the water exceeds a safe threshold, the system
activates warning indicators such as lights and a buzzer to alert residents of a possible
flood. If the water rises to 12 inches, the warning light and buzzer will turn on to alert
residents of possible [Link] early warning mechanism provides people with
valuable time to prepare, evacuate safely, secure important belongings, and reduce
potential damage to property. The primary aim of this study is to reduce the risks and
damages caused by flooding through the development and implementation of
AquaAlarm. By providing timely and accurate alerts, the system supports proactive
decision-making and strengthens overall disaster readiness within communities. This
helps us stay safe and prepared during heavy rains and Typhoons in the Philippines.
However, AquaAlarm also has certain limitations. Its effectiveness depends on sensor
accuracy, a stable power supply, and environmental conditions. Additionally, it has
limited coverage and cannot prevent flooding or detect events outside its designated
monitoring area.
