Topic Area: Health and Well-being
Introduction to the Topic
Vaping has become increasingly common among teenagers and young adults. Although many
people assume that vaping is a harmless alternative to smoking, medical studies show that it can
seriously affect physical and mental health. E-cigarettes contain nicotine and other harmful
chemicals that can damage the lungs, weaken the immune system, and affect brain development.
Young people are especially vulnerable because their bodies are still developing. This team project
focuses entirely on the health and well-being impacts of vaping. We aim to explore how vaping
affects young people medically and psychologically, and to understand the risks that are often
ignored or misunderstood.
Aims and Objectives of the Project
The main aim of our project is to investigate the negative health effects of vaping on young people
and to promote awareness about these dangers. Our objectives are to analyze how vaping harms
physical health, understand how nicotine addiction develops, evaluate awareness levels among
students, and encourage healthier lifestyle choices. We also aim to collect real evidence that shows
how vaping is affecting the well-being of teenagers in our community.
Primary Research Methods
To ensure our project reaches an advanced and high academic standard, we will use detailed and
structured primary research methods focused specifically on health and well-being: • Conduct
structured face-to-face interviews with qualified doctors and medical professionals to gain expert
opinions on the physical and mental health impacts of vaping.
• Prepare professionally designed questionnaires for students to measure awareness of
vapingrisks, addiction levels, and common health problems experienced.
• Carry out confidential surveys to collect data about symptoms such as breathing
difficulties, headaches, stress, or concentration problems linked to vaping.
• Interview local pharmacists to understand the medical consequences they observe among
youngusers of vaping products.
• Gather data from fitness trainers or sports teachers about how vaping affects stamina,
physicalperformance, and overall health of students.
• Analyze real-life case studies of individuals who have faced health problems due to vaping.
• Conduct comparative research between students who vape and those who do not, focusing
onwell-being and energy levels. These advanced research methods will allow us to collect
accurate, practical, and health-centered information directly from reliable sources.
Team Outcome and Awareness Campaign
As the final outcome of our project, we will launch a comprehensive health awareness campaign in
our school and community. We will design informative posters, brochures, and presentations that
explain the medical dangers of vaping such as lung damage, heart problems, addiction, and mental
health issues. Our campaign will focus on educating young people so they can make responsible
and healthy decisions.
Planned Actions
• Design and display educational posters focused on health risks of vaping.
• Prepare detailed booklets explaining medical consequences in simple language.
• Deliver awareness presentations to different classes about protecting health.
• Conduct health-focused surveys before and after the campaign to measure impact.
• Share findings with students and teachers to encourage long-term well-being.
